Wigan and Swansea are ideal games for Coutinho, as they don't play like 'traditional' PL sides. Neither team is particularly physical, and the battle to be won is on the deck, not in the air.
Saw the state of the pitch the other day,when Wigan played RL played on it at weekend, looks a lot better than it normally does to be fair and better than Zenit n Oldham where, but not as good as Anfield
we'll see... you can never tell with wigan. they can make the pitch rubish just by not maintaining for a week. I'd saythe palce will be empty as usual bar mancs coming to abuse suarez... this club deserves relegation just like blackburn did... LFC had better win!
I'd be sad to see Wigan relegated. They're a Northern team for one. There is the whole mystique of them being the only top flight club never to have been relegated from the top flight... if they're relegated that trivia question dies with them... ... and on top of all that about 3 years ago I did a football manager thing online (probably still going-tribal football used to advertise it heavily). I was stuck with Wigan as all the other teams were taken. ... got the Wigan lads up to finish fourth... so they'll always have a special place with me.
Classy stuff lads. Our pitch hasn't been like a field for years. So I'm going to assume that most of you don't actually go to games. We would penalise ourselves if we had a crap pitch since we like to play football. You'll remember football - you used to be really good at it. We'll take the three points thanks very much, keyboard warrior. And remember - you're not safe till you get forty points. I'd say that marks you down as kinda dreggish yourself, that come March you're still looking over your shoulders.

One of our number has it in for Wiggy for some unknown reason. I lived in Winstanley for a few years and I've got a bit of a soft spot for them. You do try hard every year to get relegated though, and if you're not careful you'll succeed one day.
I've got friends in Wigan so have been to your place, my mate told people I was a Liverpool fan but were fine about it after a bit of fake you're going to get a kicking. I did worry for a bit.

wigan... 1. your chairman licks manc hole every chance he gets 2. your chairman sticks his oar into our clubs business totally unwarranted. (see suarez comments) 3. your so called fans were the most vocal (and classless) all of last seaosn.. or should i say the few that turned up wer very obvious in what they were shouting. 4. you never get a crowd bar away fans buying home tickets it seems to me. 5. as for your pitch... you must not see a quality pitch much cos i've seen that bog only last year and it was crap then.... in other words barring roberto martinez who's neve rhad a bad word to say about us going back to rafa's time wigan have always been playing the game and frankly i for one hope you do get relegated... mostly for dave whelan's mouth.... as a personal note to all real wigan football fans i'll be consilatory and say you deserve more than that and have punched above your weight for years on martinez finding some sort of form in the latter half just about every year, the 3-4-3 last year got you out of it... if he pulls it off again fine but it'll be down to you battling w with villa and as much as i don't like midlanders villa are a club that the prem needs to do beeter (and villa fans deserve more than thier yank owner too)
i think a few on here can comment that i've said 40 points was our first traget. Oh and your position i nthe table marks you out as the dregs of the league.... if a side who's even 8th phooks up enough to lose to you they deserve a bit of fan villification. as i said, i'll respect you as a fan and fellow football supporter but i don't like your chairman and your fans were scumbags before the suarez case even got a charge laid. i won't forget that. I am not of course accusing you perosnally as i reckon half the gorund had red and blakc shirts on under thier coats that night.
Sturridge doubtful, really hope he plays, the difference between us with him in the team and without him recently has been massive. Him startin could be the difference between us winnin and losin, proves we need a another striker in the summer to compete with DS and LS
