Harry Redknapp - How should he be greeted?

Hmm, and you wonder why many Saints fans don't like him, and in particular why certain Saints fans wish to sing anti songs about him?

 

The feeling was very mutual I can assure you. He went back to Pompey and they eventually went broke......Now if you guys don't stay up.....thats just where you lot are going to end up if you are non to careful!!

 

I don't hate redknapp, I just hate the way the media treat him like a demi-god.

 

Not going to quote you GTH as it's too long, but I don't think you'll find too many Saints fans disagreeing with much in that piece. All too true and sadly reminiscent of the bad years of our history, none of which, or not much anyway, was Harry's fault. The thing that irritates me most about HR is the love affair he has with the media, and his willingness to run down his own players in public when things go wrong. And as Channon Walks says above, he has lost his managerial touch nowadays.

 

Well thats how it goes. Arry is good for news and the media love him. Same with our owner TF, he is a media whore but thats his character. Some of us QPR fans just want to watch our team and go along quietly but the media love us and that's probably why other clubs are giving us stick because sadly the media is not interested in them.

I have said before whenever i read the papers/watch TV/listen to the radio/Go on the interenet they are all talking QPR and teams like Saints/Reading/Wigan/stoke/WBA/Fulham/Sunderland and Co are not news. The media is not interested in them, sad but true. Even if we go down we will still get more media stuff than some Prem clubs (however not as much as now).

Wanting a club to go bust is not what real football fans should ever want and when i read posts from people hoping Pompey and now QPR go bust is really sad.
Beat a team on the field not off it! because what you wish on others may come back to haunt you and you have been there before.

I was reffering to the ones who posted not all Saints fans, otherwise i would have got on the radio or TV and put an ad in the programme on Saturday and mentioned it.

Most of us on here would not wish going bust on any club even Pompey. Doesn't mean we don't want to smash you lot on Saturday though! Good to have a bit of banter!

I wish no club to go bankrupt(even Pompey), I just hate how in some peoples eyes Harry is seen as some sort of god. The media love him for some reason even tho he only ever spends well over the top for average players. For the amount of players he buys and the amount of money he has spent he has had hardly any success. Yet the media still love him and see him as some sort of saviour of any club he joins.

If QPR are relegated I give it a few months before he starts moaning that players will have to leave and how hard it is to bring players in. Then after moaning like a bitch for a few months he will end up resigning, leaving QPR with the overpaid dross. QPR are lucky they have a rich owner that can probably be able to afford them, unlike when he ruined Pompey and Saints.

Redknapp is the most over hyped manager in todays game all he does is spend shed loads of cash for little return, would say good luck to QPR but as we are relegation rivals I can't aha .

No the sooner you realise what i said is actually correct the less bitter you will be. TF/Mittals are not a 'car crash' but seriously good businessmen. The mittals are 4th richest in the World. TF has done a top job with his airline and moving into the Indian market. All our owners know what they have to do to put it right We have a new traing ground being built which will be state of the art. A new stadium coming. Worldwide media interest and owners that get in a 'top manager'.
As for your stupid 'Pending Car crash', it's just bitter comment because Arry once managed you and left for a bigger club. The media love arry and what's happening at QPR and as i said some clubs are boring news and have boring managers that they are not interseted in.
Probably being in London also helps but most proper media are based there and not on the coast. Still i am sure the 'Eastleigh gazette' does a good spread on you

It's funny but I remember a lot of Pompey fans who a few years ago, said something remarkably similar to what you just said.

 

I have been unaware that QPR are getting more coverage than we are. Harry always gives interviews, but I know Adkins got coverage on Sky because he always had something to say...the most positive man in football as he was called. For obvious reasons, Mauricio doesn't feature much. As for the teams, Saints have had decent coverage because we have being getting some good results...can't remember stats but we have lost few games recently. Harry Redknapp is not a great manager...he gets decent results if given money. His problem at Saints was that he wasn't allowed to sign players without a relegation clause...so he couldn't sign a lot of mercenaries. His best performance was at Spurs. Don't wish QPR ill apart from wanting three teams below us...certainly have no reason to want them bankrupt. Don't let Harry or his dog close to your money and QPR should be fine.

 

Ellers, we beat you at your place if you'd forgotten. We may be newly promoted, but we're on the way up and you're on the way down, simple as that. I know which position I'd rather be in.
