And having scored first, we need to score our second as soon as possible. That should open the floodgates.

QPR will be well up for this. Can see them taking the lead from a set piece. Will be a very tough game.

I'm going for a comprehensive home win. If Zamora is not fit I can't see them scoring and we will!

I agree...we are the better team and should win, but so should Chelsea and they didn't. QPR are getting draws which isn't good enough to keep them up, but means they are good enough to casue us trouble. I am dreading an early QPR goal, followed by our domination but no goals. Everyone must be at their best for this important game.

I can't see an early QPR goal. The Arry factor hasn't worked so far so why should it on Saturday. Let's not let an unlucky defeat in Newcastle make us nervous (almost said twitchy!). If we perform as we have in the last few matches we will beat QPR.

Yeah but stats like this come crashing down in quite glorious fashion. What did they say about Stoke's defense before the mighty Saints went to the Britannia? Now look at them, can't keep a clean sheet at all.

Having said that, I think we'll win comfortably on Saturday. And I am never normally the optimist.

If you were to start one now for the Stoke game i will comment on it to keep it in the limelight, its the only chance you got of getting in early enough before the usual 3 or 4 who seem to be in competition with each other to do it.

I really hope we beat this ****, their arrogance at the start of the season really made me want them to suffer.

Look if someone else wants to create the match thread they are welcome to. Match threads for Saturday matches have been created on a Tuesday for a while now so it doesn't take a genius to work out when someone's going to create a match thread. And if Lovelocum wants to create the next one, he is free to do so.

Do not fear my children, I believe in destiny and this game is ours, I've waited 8 years to get Satchel back to St mary's and fortunately for me he is in very John prescottable range.

Guys this business about who creates the match thread is rising it's ugly head again.......Anyone can do them if more than one is created then it will be merged into one of the others as we only need one match-day thread. In the main they are done of a Tuesday the same as the prediction thread.......none will be stickied until the Wednesday at the earliest. If it is a Sunday game the earliest is usually the Thursday for match day threads. So this thread has not been created any earlier or later for that matter just the normal time as far as I can see.
Tom mate I cannot possibly promote this because of your headline statement....they would just kick it back at me.

You are right about that, none of that stuff will matter at 3pm. But one stat I do know is that QPR need a minimum of five wins to have a chance, whereas we need around three to be pretty much certain. So this is a huge game for them as we are fifth bottom. What does that mean? Well, probably nerves, mistakes, fouls, scrappy football, moans and groans etc. I can't wait.

If we win then it's pretty much the home straight to survival. Defeat would probably lead to a week of nervousness followed by much plotting of where those three wins are going to come from. A draw is survivable, for us anyway, but Reading play Aston Villa the following week and the dotted line could lurch alarmingly upwards. So just a little bit of pressure to stay out of a full blown radio-to-ear style relegation run-in.

Yay! Although I prob won't get round to doing it, too lazy. My thread about the fictional signing of Lens as our catering manager was mysteriously removed just as it got going. Feeling disheartened

Didn't you ask the mods to remove it when you realised that the article that the thread was based on was dated back to the Summer?

Yes I think I did, then I decided to create an elaborate cover story including an interview with MP and Lens. I even photo shopped a picture of lens in his disguise (chef's attire) while secretly training. Its way too quiet atm!
