So Walcott are Warburton weren't bullshitting then when they said that Bale himself had said that he was an Arsenal fan ?
There's no reason to suggest he's an Arsenal fan anymore, if he was he might think twice about celebrating when he's scored against you. Arsenal might have been his favourite team growing up but now he's as much an Arsenal fan as Defoe is an Arsenal fan, or Gerrard is an Everton fan, or Wilshere is a West Ham fan.
So hes one of those plastics who just change teams is he. Hes either an Arsenal fan or a two faced plastic turncoat tosser. And before you try to claim its the same with Wilshere, he came to Arsenal aged 9 and has followed them ever since, Bale was an Arsenal fan a lot older and more recently than that.
Real Madrid will start bidding for Tottenham star Gareth Bale at £70m - http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...bidding-for-Tottenham-star-Gareth-Bale-at-70m I can't see it happening, but one things for sure, that Levi is great at flogging his players at the highest price. Selling Modric for £35m was at least more than £10m more than what he was worth. How much did we sell Fabregas for who was significantly better? We're laughing at him leaving, but if they do sell him for over £40m-£50m, then I can see them investing most of this money straight back in. Would they become a better club in the procedure of losing Bale?
If either Madrid or Barcelona have a presidential election this year you can expect to hear noises from the candidates about buying Bale purely to gain favour and votes from the fans. This is standard practice from both clubs.
I think Real are the most probable. Barca seem more sensible with their purchases of recent. IF Bale continues his stunning run of form (hopefully not against us!), then a large fee will be paid for him, this coming summer window. Then our supposed £70m war chest will have to be used this summer, to balance out Spurs potentially lucrative deal for Bale and subsequent reinforcements. Better to keep ahead of the game than chance another year of minimum investment.
Spurs have just posted a loss and they are trying to raise the finances to build a new stadium. You might see a significant chunk or all of any transfer fee from Bale going into the clubs coffers rather than being reinvested in the team.
The problem here is people are going to compare it to the ronaldo deal and claim bale should be worth the same, however real are not stupid, despite what people might think, they recouped their money on ronaldo in commercial revenue, as soon as he signed there were topless calendar of ronaldo on sale, and he was appearing in male grooming adverts around the world. I doubt any horny Spanish women are going to want a topless calendar of bale to put up in their kitchen, and blokes are not going to go out and buy aftershave because bale is advertising it, it would probably ensure I never bought that brand again. Every big money buy real have made, even going back to the galacticos, people like figo and zidane have all had massive commercial value, hence the reason they have been willing to pay big, bale is just not that financially viable option, therefore I would be amazed if he went for some of the figures people have been suggested (70 million +)
It could happen, but if they get Champions League, then some of that money will ofset the loss. Also the stadium thing hasn't lifted off. But we need to invest to keep our heads in the Champions league. This season is getting too close for comfort. I hope the management realise this and use the £70m war chest to invest
Lol, you're probably right. But Levi is a very shrewd business man and if history has anything to go by, will get top dollar for Bale. He got a shedload of cash for Berba and more recently Modric. Bale is being hyped up to high heaven and with Real's presidency coming up, will be looking for that big time player to sign. It's another matter whether Bale is that player or not, but the media is doing a great job of making him into some type of Messi killer.
The loss was £6m i think. It didn't take into account the selling of kranjar, modric, vdv and others which raised well over £50m . We then bought holtby adebayor siggy dempsey and dembele which all came to about 36m...so this years figures are going to be a decent profit.
