Great work on this thread - I did not realise we were quite as close in terms of overall wins - as each loss is unbearable I tend to think they have twice as many as we have

That would be the first time this season we are ahead - but we would remain 3 points ahead of the games against the "same" opposition teams as we beat the gooners at home last year

My daughter would be ex-communicated if she claimed to support them - I did not even allow one of my duaghters to have a boyfriend who was a gooner :)

I think she did it at first to annoy me,then her aunt, who's a gooner took her to a game, and she came home with a shirt with her name on,idon't let her wear it in the house.then one of my nephew's is a gooner, luckily he likes to Support Sutton more.one the plus side i've a brother in law,and a niece who are Spurs through and through

I really hate the NLD day...I am so nervous I almost feel sick until the final whistle is blown.
I hate listening to it on the radio...I have to keep turning it off every few minutes.
I really struggle to watch it on TV at home...have to keep leave to make cups of coffee
I cope better when I've been to the matches (I've only been to 5...5-0 win in 82; 3-1 loss 2007; 5-1 carling cup semi 2008; 2-1 win 2010 with the Danny Rose goal and the 3-3 in 2011) or if I watch it in a pub....but I have already lost the buzz of last night and am fearing the worst...why can't the ****ers get relegated so I am spared this every 6 months????

If I can't make it to the match I have to ignore it totally - I cannot bear updates every few minutes or listeniing on the radio

One of my daughters once announced she supported Newcastle - when asked why it was because she fancied one of their players - someone called David Ginola - so when we got him I assumed she would now return home to Spurs - but when asked she looked at me witheringly and told me that no - she was Liverpool as Michael Owen had a cute bum - no hope for her I decided :)

  6. Feel physically sick from 1st to last minute of all these games whether present or not.
This year, everything points to us being on top, but a one-off NLD never seems to go to form or plan.
So in short, if someone offered me a draw and move on to the next game I would bite their hand off. (Not in a literal sense of course - no knowing what diseases you could pick up from a Goon!!

I would only accept a draw if we were 2 goals behind at half time - I want to beat their sorry Ars*es

Agreed. A draw is the absolute minimum we should expect from this game. We are at home, in better form than them, and most importantly our players are simply better than theirs. We should go into this game expecting to win, and we have far more daunting opponents ahead of us in the coming months than the Woolwich Wanderers.

I'm absolutely ****ting it for this one to be honest. After the lead we blew last year following an utter capitulation to them at Emirates I couldn't bear for a repeat, even if it's at the Lane this time. I know there was more to our loss of form than losing the NLD but we're on a great streak at the moment and to lose the winning streak to Arsenal at home would seriously derail the confidence in my opinion, not just because it's Arsenal at home but also because they're one of the teams chasing us down. I'm going to have to force myself to watch it, probably in a pub somewhere surrounded by unsympathetic Geordies and if we win then I'll be on a high for weeks but if we lose then I'm going to feel sodding awful. We need a convincing win and performance to atone for the result earlier in the season and while, as others have rightly said, we may appear to be on form you can never, ever predict the NLD. Ever.

I'm going to be praying all the way through this one, let me tell you.

I agree, horrible game and **** day if we lose to them.

Before the game in the pub there'll be plenty of anti goon songs but in the ground we'll be full of nervous tension.

Never enjoy this game, even if we're winning. Only time to relax is at the final whistle if we've won.

This week it'll be even harder as that clown clattenberg is in the middle, another one who never gives us anything.

This one is to close to call.

I'm genuinely appalled that they've given this game to Clattenburg. It's insulting.

****ing FA trying to maintain the status quo with idiots like Webb and Clattenburg

We'll just have to score more to overcome their bias

Erik Thorstvedt played for Arsenal?! Was this some sort of friendly some time? Like how Maradona "played" for Spurs?

...wikipedia has just let me down. No mention on another site's profile of him either.

is Clattenburg really that bad, lads?

Webb, Foy and Dowd would be the 3 I'd fear most.

or have i missed something horrendous that clattenburg has ****ed us over with in the past?

hang on... I've just had a mare and got clattenburg confused with someone else. ****!

But on the other hand... we've had clattenburg twice this season.

4-0 win against Villa and 1-0 win against west brom away. (where he sent their left back off)

arsenal have had him once in the league... and they lost!

    the future is bright...
