I won't partake in any chants which sink to the lowest depths and refer to his twitch or beauty challenges.
There is enough material from his despicable actions.

    How about:

We've got some half priced cracked ice
And miles and miles of carpet tiles
TV's, deep freeze and David Bowie LP's
    Pool games, gold chains, wosnames
    And at a push
    Some Trevor Francis track-suits
From a mush in Shepherds Bush, Bush, Bush,
    Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush

    No income tax, no VAT
    No money back, no guarantee
Black or white, rich or broke
We'll cut prices at a stroke

    God bless Hooky Street
    Viva Hooky Street
    Long live Hooky Street
    C'est magnifique Hooky Street
    Magnifique Hooky Street

    Fernandez you Plonker.

'Till his beloved Redknapp left and then from then until he left in Jan, he was basically had a horrible attitude and didn't bother trying and kept on whinging, arguing with players and so on. In the end it go so much that David Nugent whacked him one apparently, not that I condone violence but that was probably one of the big things he did for us (along with giving us the lead against Tottenham in our first game against Redknapp after he left. I can hear it now "Harry, what's the score? Harry, Harry what's the score?!")

As for Mendes, as well as scoring amazing goals, he was a brilliant passer and playmaker. He single handedly took Man City apart until Barton took him out.

I know, I was quite impressed myself. I saw a support banner in a football crowd on MOTD2 last Sunday and it was held upside down and back to front, which I thought was par for the course. :)

Hope no one sings about his twitch. Regardless of the fans misguided sense of injustice how is the twitch his fault or something he deserves to made fun about?

Guys whats with all the dislike of 'Arry....Ok accepted that he is a twat.......but why all the vitriolic remarks? He is just another manager that is not particularly liked by Saints fans. Is that any reason to gee up QPR? If by some fluke we lose to them Saturday some of us are going to have jam on our face. He is just another manager that has a job to do. The best thing we can do is to make sure he and his team go away with nowt on Saturday. That would be just another nail in his coffin.......Perfek......<ok>

What about "Redknapp's dogs a rich bitch, Redknapp's dogs a rich bitch. With off shore banks with off shore banks" or

    QPR will go bankrupt
    go bankrupt
    go bankrupt
    QPR will go bankrupt
    Same old Harry

Of course, he doesn't twitch away from the match scenario. It's the tension he's under that makes him do it. I've no personal gripe with the man. If anything, it's the usual suspects, the [sports] media, who try to airbrush his failings away. In doing so, it reflects badly upon Southampton FC and diminishes the club with their total ignorance.

To be fair to Harry, he was never in the best position to save Saints. At the very least, 50% of the blame must go to the Chairman and Board, who sacked Paul Sturrock [I firmly believe he would have kept Saints up, at least for one season] and then took the cheap option of Steve Wigley, before bailing again. Pundits used to say at the time that SFC was a well run football club. Really..? Just shows how little they know [to this day].

What most fans hate about Redknapp, is not 100% what he did here, but the way he went about it.

If reports are true, then I don't blame the board for sacking Sturrock. By all accounts, the players didn't like him or his training methods. Rightly or wrongly, when it's basically all against one, I don't think Lowe and the board had much choice but to side with the all.

Just like a section of our fans are to blame (in my book) for us not re-appointing Hoddle (that same year), I think it's the players who are to blame for Sturrock's sacking.

Appointing Wigley though? Well, that was all Lowe and the board's fault.

Agree with this, Beddy. Except on one point, and that is your description of him as a twat. He was on mission impossible at Southampton. I hated the fact that he relegated us and then went back to Pompey; it gave conspiracy theorists an open goal. 'Arry is old school and is past his sell by date. Let's face it, he did brilliantly to bring a rag tag Pompey team up to the Prem and keep them there, but he's lost the touch. He couldn't do the biz for us, and he's failing at QPR. Time to retire, 'Arry, and do after dinner speeches. He's a witty bloke and would go down well.

Come Saturday, I don't give a monkeys who manages the opposing team, I just want to see that team given a hiding. I want us to win by a cricket score on Saturday, not because 'Arry is their manager but because a big win will move us away from relegation. It's my only interest.

I think you could change reports for rumours, st_b.

I can imagine the culture shock the players had with Sturrock, after losing their beloved WGS. However, whether they liked him or not, they still played well, and won matches, under his management.

Actually TSS I can confirm there were rumblings for the short time he was manager. I cannot confirm the source...but there were no doubt problems. Although to be fair it was only with one or two players and Lowe himself, was my understanding. It was for a change a rumour that had as usual some truth, but a lot of exaggeration as well.

Football: Joining Saints was huge mistake; MANAGERIAL MAYHEM 1 HARRY REDKNAPP EXCLUSIVE.

THE short trip to Southampton's training ground became a tortuous journey that threatened to send Harry Redknapp spiralling over the edge.

Every day Redknapp considered turning back, returning to his Dorset home and tendering his resignation to the club he knew he should never have joined.

Last night Redknapp opened his heart about the remarkable chain of events that looks certain to end with him returning to Portsmouth in the next few days.

Redknapp laid bare his emotions and talked openly to Sunday Mirror Sport about taking the decision to quit Southampton on Friday night and pave the way for a return to the club he walked out on just over a year ago.

Redknapp said: "The last year has been the worst of my life and that is no exaggeration,.

"I don't know what possessed me to leave Portsmouth in the first place. I'm an emotional man at the best of times - just ask my wife Sandra.

"But I made a monumental mistake walking out of Fratton Park and a day hasn't passed since I left the ground for the last time that I didn't regret my decision.

"The truth is I did have my rows with chairman Milan Mandaric but they were petty and the vast majority were my fault.

"I think people made far too much of it because 99 per cent of the time we had a fantastic relationship.

"I know some of the Pompey fans are extremely angry about my possible return and I can understand that but this is not about money, it's about being happy and the day I left Fratton Park I left my heart at the club and want to come back and reclaim it.

"I have no grudge with Southampton because their supporters were fantastic with me. The only reason I remained at the club following relegation was I felt I owed it to the fans to get them back up but I would be a liar if I said my heart was in the job.

"I'm not denying that I said to the Pompey supporters that I wouldn't go up the road but things just spiralled out of control.

"I reacted to an article Milan had done and lost control. I knew the moment I was unveiled at the press conference at St Mary's that I had made the biggest mistake in my career. A day hasn't passed when I didn't want to turn my car around, go home and quit. I haven't slept well for a year and I've been murder to live with.

"Events this season have simply increased my desire to get away and once Portsmouth asked permission to speak to me this week I knew I had to go back.

"People can call me crazy, say what they like but my time at Pompey was the happiest of my career and I cannot see the point in remaining in football if you're not happy.

"To be honest this season has been nothing short of a joke. It's been a media circus and I knew, if I was honest to myself, that I wasn't part of the long-term plans here.

"Appointments have been made that have bemused me and I have had to work with all this crap going on about disintegrating relationship between me and Clive Woodward.

"As a bloke I got on with him but I have to say the decision to bring him in was bizarre. As was the coach that came with him and recently quit.

"The relationship between me and Clive was never going to work because there were too many people undermining the structure Rupert Lowe wanted at the club."

Redknapp admits that he now finds himself in complete limbo and has urged Saints chairman Lowe to resolve his situation and allow him to return to his spiritual home at Portsmouth.

He said:"I would hope Rupert would see sense and allow me to return. I've made it clear I want to go back but until the two clubs reach an agreement over compensation I'm in limbo.

"I was honest enough with Rupert and said once the Portsmouth thing became public I was in an untenable situation at Southampton.

"My son Jamie told me to get out of Southampton months ago, he knew it was tearing me apart. As I said the situation in recent months had become intolerable, let alone the fact I never really wanted to be at the club."

"I have no intention of signing a long-term deal at Pompey. If and when I can get round a table with Milan I will make it clear that I will work without a contract for the rest of the season.

"If I can keep them up then we can discuss any future arrangements. But I want everyone to know that my intentions are sincere and honourable and hopefully people will respect that."

    DIARY of a FARCE

2004: May 12 - Redknapp's relationship with Milan Mandaric starts to breakdown after claims the Portsmouth chairman wants to replace assistant boss Jim Smith with a foreign coach.

May 15 - The two men seem to have patched up their differences as Portsmouth finish the season in 13th place.

Nov 15 - Pompey appoint Velimir Zajec as executive director and he insists Redknapp will be leaving.

Nov 24 - After only one game under the new continental structure Redknapp quits Fratton Park, citing personal reasons and claims he will take a break from football.

Dec 8 - Redknapp agrees to join Pompey's bitter rivals Southampton. Mandaric believes the deal had been negotiated "for some time".

    May 15 - Southampton relegated.

May 18 - Redknapp confirms he intends to stay.

July 25 - Redknapp joined at Southampton by new performance director Sir Clive Woodward, former coach of the England and Lions rugby teams.

Dec 1 - Mandaric confirms he wants to talk to Redknapp about a possible return to Fratton Park.

Dec 2 - Southampton say they require compensation before allowing Redknapp to talk to Portsmouth.

Dec 3 - Redknapp informs Southampton he regards "his employment with the club as being at an end". Club chairman Rupert Lowe says he will report the matter to the Premier League.
