Spurs do appear to be a side on the up, they have a good set up there with AVB as there manager. I always felt he was hard done by at Chelsea, and giving the chance with a group of willing players he would do well. At the moment Spurs are playing to Bales strengths, playing him off the front man a position he can do the most damage to opponents in. I don't really see other clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona playing to Bales strengths. Bayern Munich would probably be the best option, as Kroos plays off the front man, and Bale is alot better than him. I don't think it would be a bad idea for him to stay with Tottenham though, as there really not that far away from becoming a top side, and with Bales help they can cement themselves as CL regulars, and legitimate title contenders. Even if Bale were to go, it wouldn't be a disaster for Spurs as they would get a hefty fee for him, and AVB is very good in the transfer market
in unrelated subject of the rivals .. i didn't know where to post this .. but find it interesting Berba is really an artist off and on the field please log in to view this image http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-art-Fulham-star-draws-movie-caricatures.html
Hopefully we wont be as open as Barca. TBF they've created nothing and are getting done on the counter.
Barca have been dire. Not sure how they will line up Sat i suspect if they do rest players it will only be 1 or 2.
Barca were awful, Real were very good. You can be certain though that if we beat Real it will be because they aren't a good team but if we lose it will be because we can't beat a top team. The dribbling morons have been preparing their well structured arguments for weeks!
Barce have spent most of their time on the floor with some shocking dives, Alba dived without being touched about 30 seconds before half time but still stayed on the floor for a few minutes after the whistle to receive treatment for the devastating blow that he never received, it was amusing to watch.
We are in decline how could we possibly beat a top team? The play acting is ****ing embarrassing, at the end of the game during interviews they should show them replays and ask what they were doing live on tv.
Lucky for us then, because we all know we can't beat anyone without it being because they are incredibly poor... and with the refs help of course.
well is not ideal after such a win, to lose at home to Barca, it will damage all the confidence they gained after yesterday game and it is their last hope to have a chance to the title .. look to city or Dortmund, you don't see them playing 2nd team yet and giving up beside it is played on Bernabéu, the fans will not be happy to lose to their arch rivals ..el clasico is a competition by itself so am sure we gonna see the main team but sure changing around players who have replacement at the same quality
Shwan....Mourinho did field his 2nd string against Seville at the weekend, and only brought on Ronaldo and co at half time. That says to me that he has given up on La Liga, and I'd personally be amazed if he fielded his strongest side on Saturday. Though you never know
hopefully this past week signals the end of Barcelonas tedious and boring reign as the worlds best team.
European champions cfc ended that last season. But Barca are still up there with Bayern though. Barca have missed the boat this season with nemesis Chelsea knocked out. Re Real. JM will be careful. Last season his team looked knackered in the second half v Bayern after a Classico. This time he has the two biggest matches in club football back to back while his opponents have one fixture fewer. Advantage united
Or maybe it signals the fact that the reality is Guardiola IS a great manager and the team is not, in fact, so good it does not need to be managed. It's good to see them squirm though isn't it? Loved wathcing Milan do a number on them last week and, although I didn't see last night (which sounded quite ominous!), would have rather enjoyed seeing them dicked at home by Real.
I said after they beat Milan that Vilanova seems to have taken the easy route and just turned them into flat track bullies. To be fair to him it is working in the league, but it's not holding up against the top clubs in good competitions. The loss to Real has just strengthen my view on it.
