I think the Torygraph story from Caldron speaks volumes. The big spanish clubs usually get their man, either by hook or crook. Spurs could cash in this summer, especially if Real and Barca get into a bidding war. Levy might not want to make the same mistakes he did with Modric - and there's the possibility that Bale, for all his plaudits this season, might have an average next season, so they might be tempted to cash in whilst he's hot property ?
Why is that a lie? Modric wanted to go and his last season wasnt as good as the one before (I dont really watch the spuds mnyself but thats what I heard) and when you sold him you got the same as youd been offered a year before in cash but less the £10m rated player
£10m-rated player? He was sold for £4.2m. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16756100 Also the fee was a reported £30m and we supposedly got £33m. £1.2m difference and he didn't go to a rival team.
At the time he was offered he was rated at £10m. He didnt play much so when he was later sold his price had gone down. Its simple.
I believe that is the case They had an offer worth £40m and turned it down, in the process completely alienating the player by refusing to let him leave - and then eventually selling for £30m. But the spuds will tell you that it was all planned to prevent him going to a rival. The reality however was that they lost out and in the process had a player who was considering going on strike to terminate his contract. A situation that Levy will be aware of and may not want to risk repeating if Bale decides he wants to move to a big club this summer.
His value more than halved in six months? There's also no reason why we'd have wanted to sign Alex, due to his high wages, age and position. Piskie simply wants to sell the ludicrous story that we missed out on £10m because we didn't sell Modric to a rival a year prior to letting him go to Real. The whole situation worked out far better for us than it would've done, as he'd still strengthen Chelsea massively now. They'd almost certainly be above us now if he'd have gone there and they probably would've finished above us last season, too.
Looks like Real will be in pole position to sign Bale this summer http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21584747
It's the end of an era for Real Madrid. Mourinho will be leaving, possibly Ronaldo too. They'll be looking to splash the cash on a new team, and Bale is going to be top of the shopping list. Almost certain he will join them.
Tottenham fans, please **** off and stop acting like your some elite team, ****ing arrogant pricks, if Madrid want Bale, they have the money to take him, all it would take is Bale wanting to move there, which he obviously will as he's made clear in many statements, that he'd like another challenge in another top team.
Spurs fans, you're not Madrid, you're not Barca, you're not even the top team in London, so learn your place you silly annoying dick heads, just because Bale is on fire doesn't place you at the top as you think he does, so quit your stupid talking acting like Madrid don't have a chance of taking a 'Spurs' player, LOL, f--king idiots, these guys must be smoking something 24-7 which is why they have such delusions of grandeur.
You guys just piss me off, as always, whenever you're on a good form or whatever, you think your gods. The fact you think a team like Madrid don't have a chance of taking a SPURS player, says it all.
When has anyone either said that we're gods or that Madrid can't sign our players? Seeing as they did exactly that in the summer, I suggest that's unlikely. Totsfan didn't say that, by the way. He merely suggested that they'd be disappointed and didn't expand on why.
It was in response to him saying that if Real wanted to buy him they would be disappointed. I'm not so sure, Real have a habit of getting the players they want and if they make a bid for Bale, they'll probably see it through.
Calm down dear, it's only a transfer. btw - Do you still think that Walcott and Warburton were bullshitting about Bale being an Arsenal fan ?
read all the links, proved nothing, one from Bale himself i would belive,he once was a Arsenal fan,but not anymore
