You need Faye in against Zigic.

I'd love to see Faye back in the team in the place of Bruce after his stinker at the weekend, however it's never going to happen.

It's a point that was made to SB by Evans and Cairney.
Can't say I blame them either.

Evans has looked poor lately, and Cairney is by no means a defensive midfielder. What are they expecting?

Why neither of them are pulling up any trees. I'm a big supporter of TC and thought he was going to take the CM by the scruff of the neck when he came back from injury. He hasnt, doesnt do enough and should have no complaints about his lack of game time. Evans has been poor for ages.

Dont get me wrong I like Bruce jnr and Think he organises the defence very well. But for the visit of Birmingham I'd have Faye in instead. Just to counteract the threat of Zigic.

That said I don't really see any major need to change things.

Hes started 2 games and goal a goal and an assist in them. Apart from that hes probably ny been on the pitch more than 15 minutes at a time, what more can he do?

If we start Alex Bruce in midfield on Saturday ill really not be happy.

Cairney's hardly played since his injury and he's looked good whenever he has IMO.

I can't believe some of the stuff I read on this site. The above post beggars belief.

If the manager wasnt his old man would even the strongest defender of Alex Bruce consider him near midfield?

He struggles to play the ball at centre half, let alone midfield.

He's not there to be a ball player, he's there to break up play and get in the faces of the other team. We don't need a Xavi in there, more like a Makelele or Lucas Leiva. I know this is Alex Bruce, but you get the idea.

Yes I would. Evans is **** always has been always will be. Not a ball playing CM and not a physical one either. Weak as piss. Most of us are waiting for TC to step up but he hasnt

As we've just brought in a defensive midfielder, it seems obvious who should actually be playing there, it's been several weeks now, he must be somewhere near match fitness by now.

I thought Fahti looked good, seemed to hustle everyone. But was just a second off the pace, with a couple of games he could be there.

Agreed, I think Fahti will be on the bench Saturday, especially taking in to account Birmingham's aerial presence
