    Wolves V Blackburn
    Man United V Blackpool
    Stoke V Wigan
    Tottenham V Birmingham

With the Hammers already down, was wondering who everyone thought (or wants) will be relegated from the Premier league this weekend? I think Wolves will pull it off with Blackburn also surviving, and Blackpool may have a chance at Man United with the CL final next weekend and Man U may be resting players. I fear for Birmingham with Spurs needing to win to secure 5th spot and can see Stoke beating Wigan. So i'm going for Wigan and Blackpool to join West Ham in the Championship next season, even with a potentially weakened team Man U will probably still be too strong, Birmingham will get away with it with a defeat at Spurs. Thoughts?

Want Wigan and Blackpool. Both teams will be heavily weakened by the drop with players leaving.
Neither will be able to pose a threat next season.

I reckon Wigan and Blackpool to go down. Man USA haven't lost at home all season, and won't want to lose that record

Looking at the PL table Birmingham are only out of the relegation spots on goal difference by a single goal, so a defeat at Old Trafford for Blackpool and could mean they stay up, if Birmingham suffer a heavy defeat at Spurs. This is one possibility going into the final day, but seeing Blackpool's defence on MOTD most of this season they are liable to conceding a few. Both teams will probably lose, so it could end up going down to goal difference. Agree that Wigan and Blackpool aren't too much of a threat coming down, and after readin a blog on the beeb i don't think West ham will do a Newcastle so to speak.

I can see Wigan winning seen as Stoke are still suffering a hangover from last weekend, dont have too much to play for and playing midweek. I think Brum will draw with Spurs, Wolves and Blackburn will draw. I can see Blackpool winning, they're that attack minded that an untested back 4 will struggle (Im sure pool will concede a couple along the way, but will be a 3-2 win or something). So Bham and Wolves for me. However Wolves are in pretty gd form, so maybe Brum and Blackburn if Wolves win.

Think it will go like this

Wolves V Blackburn - Draw - Both safe
Man United V Blackpool - Man U win - Blackpool down
Stoke V Wigan - wigan win or draw - Wigan safe
Tottenham V Birmingham - Spurs win - Birmingham down

Not sure who I want to come down, I just wanted West Ham to be relagated so Im happy on that one

Listening to 5Live on Sunday they were saying that West Ham are one of the best "payers" in the PL so, with the exception of Parker, they may not lose many players as they could not earn the same amount that they are on at West Ham unless they went to one of the top 6, which arguably they are not good enough for. If West Ham keep most of their players they will be very strong next season and may do a Newcastle

The blog mentioned how Parker, Upson, Cole, Green, Ba, Hitzlesberger etc were on contracts that would be too much for West ham to cope with at Championship level, then there's the loan deals of Bridge and Keane to end. Reading the posts of West Ham fans, many expect the contracted players mentioned to leave due to their high wages. West Ham have a good nucleus of young players in their team though (Noble, Seares etc) and if not tempted away by the lure of other PL teams, may leave West Ham with a decent team. But with lack of experience they may be bullied by the physical Championship sides. Either way, the West Ham fans posting didn't seem to be expecting an immediate return (as of yet) to the PL.

I don't care who it is as long as it's Blackpool. I cannot stand Holloway.

Yeah cos Blackpool have been so boring and a pointless addition to the Prem this season, really havent added anything at all. Id much rather Blackburn stayed up, I really like Steve Kean. Infact I wish I could have a meal at a Little Chef with him.

A small team going up beating everyone and then sliding down the table and staying up on the last day has been done already though.

At least Blackburn's "Sack a decent manager and hire an inept one" tactic is new... oh, wait...

I didn't actually read the blog before responding (laziness on my part). Of the players mentioned I cannot see who in the PL would take Cole. Parker, Upson and Green are likely to stay in PL. Ba and Hitzlsberger may have to go back to Europe imo

I did, how anybody could knock Holloway I don't know, then again TWF is the obvious candidate on here to do so.

Just annoying isn't he? I sometimes think you purposefully disagree with me Nick, I know we have our differences when it comes to City, but could not at least just agree that Holloway is a tool?

At least we only sacked someone who'd barely won a game for 18 months, they sacked someone who was doing well.

I hope they go down, idiot owners, dump of a place, it's only saving grace is the fact that they're so short of fans that the away fans get the big pub right outside the ground. Unfortunately, I don't think they will, I think it will be Wigan and Blackpool.
