N'Daiye - basically just wondering how he is playing? Not heard too much other than him being a bit of a ****house...if he is faltering do you think it's a disappointing signing or does he need more time/a better midfield partner? If he is playing well what is it that's led to the poor run of form? Cheers
He's doing okay at the minute and improving match by match think we won't see his best for a few games yet mind, we need to give him a bit of time to prove he is worth it.
Think that's the same with Anita with us, first few games passed him by, he was then one of our better players during our poor run but Sissoko and Cabaye have been undroppable. He needs more time to really show what he can do
If he gets a run of games with Catts (highly unlikely due to injuries/disciplinary) I think a good partnership could develop.
we won't see the best of Alfie until next year when he gets a full pre season behind him. His fitness is not there. He is strong sometimes and shows flashes of good stuff, he panics at others. Adjustment time is needed. Playing along side Larsson who isn't a CM doesn't help him.
Looks a good prospect and is what we have been missing but he needs a little settling in time. He is better than anyone else we have got in that position at the moment.
He just needs to get up to speed of the EPL really, as people have already said. He will do something that is unreal and then two seconds later he will knock a ball into row z. Potential is their though
As he is our player I am obliged to say he needs time and has potential, however deep down I feel he wont fulfill that potential and will just be another player we need to "ship out" in the future. Obviously I hope to be proved wrong! I think the worst thing about it is that the Mags signed Sissoko for half of N'Daiye and he has been outstanding wheras N'Daiye hasnt been bad but nowhere near Sissoko's level and obviously they are getting compared.
If I'm honest, I'm still expecting a bit of a dip from Sissoko - a lot of respected French journos said that he is good, but not world class - having said that, he was playing a more defensive role in a poor team, so perhaps he'd never had the chance to shine?
Massive upper body, but spindly-looking legs. Not a recipe for success, but he seems a decent player (early days still). His crossing needs work though!
Have to agree with this - but I think this is the reason he is getting a lot of game time - he is a "next season" player - i.e. I think MON wants him up to speed for next season
If he learns to shoot straight he could turn into a world beater. If he learns how to head and shoot he will be worth millions. As it stands, he has bags of potential but looks every inch the young player he is of course right now.
So he's a plank then? Can't shoot straight & can't head!!! No matter how young you are surely these are fundamentals to playin football? Unless you play for sunderland i presume!
Exactly this for me, unfortunately. Hope to god I'm proved wrong but from what I've seen so far I have a horrible feeling he will be shipped out in a couple of years and a couple of years after that we'll be asking "n'who?". Sickening that we paid more for him than the mags did sissokho, who looks twice the player.
