Gutted. Missed the second half but i've just seen the result... 1-0 United. 94th minute winner for United. - Sama was sent off in the 50th minute for two bookable offences so it was a backs against the wall job for the vast majority of the second half and we were so close to holding out. And then Michele Fornasier popped up to give United the three points.
Im not trustoing this Alex Inglethorpe. The side are not playing anywhere near aswell as they did when under the direct control of Rodolfo. Good to see all the young guns being given a glimpse of reality and being put back in the reserves team for a game. Hate to losing to United though at any level.
Alex was in charge of the Spurs team and did a great job with them. If there was a man who could replace Rodolfo, then Alex is probably the man. My only concern is that we have now changed formation from Rafa's 4-5-1 to 4-3-3 and I sense that the players are still getting used to it. Having said that, we aced the first group stage and we're in a decent position in the Elite Group. Plus we've had quite a few injuries as well.
Saw the match, where v unlucky to lose, after dodgy double yellow decision on Sama, which changed the game(we dominated b4 sending off, they dominated after).Suso and Sterling looked seriously out of form, Ward and Shelvey both played well, but comfortably the best player on the pitch was Teixeira, who perhaps now if he isnt already should be in the 1st team squad, looks a class act
I must of been watching a different game, before the sending off (which were both yellow cards in my opinion, nothing dodgy there) the game was very scrappy and pretty even, but Schlupp still had a handful of very good chances and should really of buried at least one of them in the first half, after the sending off it was one way traffic, Ward had a good game, Teixeira looked good and Morgan was lively without ever really getting much joy in front of goal, but the lads with first team experience were terrible, Sterling, Suso and Wisdom were all poor, especially Sterling, he never once looked like getting the better of Veseli, Shelvey was also poor in midfield I thought, he actually looked better at full back after the sending off.

SUBS: Johns, Curtis, Ariyibi, McQueen & Turnbull. - A couple of names that Liverpool fans may recognise. James Ward-Prowse plays in midfield and has tasted first-team football for Southampton this season. The other name is that of Vegard Forren. The Norwegian international starts for the Saints in the centre of defence and was heavily linked with Liverpool in the January transfer window. It was rumoured that Brendan Rodgers invited him for a trial but he rejected that and joined Southampton instead. Tonight's game is his first action in a Southampton shirt so it will be interesting to see how he gets on!

LFC TV saying we are playing a 4-3-3 with Coady, Teixeira & Adorjan playing in the midfield with Suso on the right of the attacking three, Morgan on the left and Shelvey through the middle. Don't know why we aren't playing Morgan (Who's a striker...) on the wing and Shelvey in the central attacking position.
