Towards Sama, Wisdom and Sterling, as well as the usual hate songs Will the FA do anything, more chance of winning the lottery
The FA will do FA, the game was not national news and therefore the actions of the crowd were not witnessed by millions so the FA will ignore it. I would like to think the club may identify those responsible and take whatever action they can but because it was not a first team game we may never hear either way. I will never understand the mentality of people like this, how can you abuse opposing players for their race/colour when half of your idols are of the same race/colour?
Report it to the police. The game was televised, so there'll be evidence of the crowd. If the FA won't touch it, and it seems likely that they won't, then go a different route. This sort of disgusting behaviour shouldn't be allowed to go unchallenged.
Flares and pictures of Adam Morgan being confronted by pitch invader have surfaced..... what made it turn so nasty? The goal?
Langtree Park is in St Helens, its around 50/50 LFC/Manc support there so its no surprise them twats turned up in numbers, LFC need to play our youth/reserve matches nearer home or even at home to deter this type of **** happening on a regular basis.
Why haven't the club made a complaint? They may have done I suppose. More should be made of this, if it cant be stopped at this level then there is no hope of stopping it in larger crowds.
Cannot believe the actions of some people. Racist chanting, throwing flares, and jumping onto the pitch to confront a player - IN AN UNDER 21 MATCH!!! How sad can you be??
Sounds like there's some dispute at the moment: http://thepeoplesperson.com/liverpool-accuse-united-fans-of-racist-chants-at-u21s-match/ "Fans on Twitter, likely not even at the game itself, accused the travelling United support of chanting “You black bastard” at Raheem Sterling and Stephen Sama, despite it audibly being “You scouse bastard” being chanted on MUTV." "UPDATE: According to reports emerging from some fans at the game, the reports are not unfounded." If it was on MUTV then Liverpool will be able to prove it and make a formal complaint. Or Utd will hopefully release the video if it proves otherwise. After all, I know how much DDDDDD loves his video evidence...
Daily Fail doesn't mention anything, and you'd think they'd be all over anything like this. Also in the vid at the bottom of the page you can hear them chanting "you scouse bastards" after the goal is scored: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Liverpool-U21s-flare-smoke-bombs-thrown.html
It doesn't help when people who don't know the facts flock to Twitter and start distorting the truth. If there is clear evidence then both clubs should act.
This is true. Seems like a lot of Utd fans were acting like dicks and deserve to be banned - hopefully the ones who were spoken to by the police will be. After the HAYC a couple of years ago it looks like the reserve games, particularly the Liverpool ones, are being targeted by hooligans who probably couldn't smuggle flares into the first team games. Unfortunately it seems some Liverpool fans are too willing to, well there's no other way to put it, try to play the race card against us at any perceived opportunity. It's a shame, cos if this turns into another argument about racism then there's a risk we'll miss the opportunity to actually sort out the troublemakers at the reserve games.
No point mud slinging at Utd fans in general, there are small groups in every fan base that tend to bring shame on their respective clubs. Dealing with those small groups is the key and if they are stupid enough to turn up at small games in small crowds where they can be clearly seen then this opportunity should be grasped by the FA.
Yeah, teach them whilst their young But seriously, giving the tickets to local youngsters would be a great idea IMO. Get the next era on board too
the match will have been on both clubs tv channels. utd are not the only ones with tvs. (queue some wise guy) Now... there was a case right after suarez sage of a fan being accuses of shouting black B when he claim MANC B. he got banned. I think poeple claming the scouse one miss the point... It's still abuse..... and amazing how only a few players got singled out of a certain colour. anyway. I agree matches should not be played in areas where its not well controlled. let the two clubs sort it out and frankly the easiest thing is to make the next games between ALL levels of the clubs be behind closed doors for the next while.
