My late old man, as I may have said was a Leicester fan. Moved there after breaking up with my mum when I was around 7 months old. He left all of us certain boxes, all with our names on. Much to my surprise, he's left me a few boxes but one really made me laugh. One of them is full of Leicester shirts, a signed photograph of Gary Lineker (signed by Lineker) and a 1966 World Cup Final Programme. There's also the 1996 Hull City shirt (Disastrous Tiger Print). I'm thinking of selling the Leicester related geer, they're all rather old ranging from 1973-2000. Worth much? The photo should be, hopefully...
The World Cup Final programme should be worth something. My dad does film and sport memorabilia, I'll ask him the going rate on that and the Lineker pic. Is the photo 8x10?
Ive got two of the tiger print shirts lol, apparently they are fetching some money now. One mate said he had seen one up for 350 on ebay but not sure if ut sold
I paid £150 for a tiger print shirt about a year and a half ago. It's hideous, but it's part of our history and has a notoriety and tasteless charm all of it's own.
I had a brief chat with my dad about World Cup Final programmes. He says there's three different types; a match day programme, a tournament programme and a reprint. The match day is worth more.
Post a pic of the shirts - doubt that they will be worth much as unlike yourselves we didn't have anything as notorious as the tiger print but might be worth a few bob as a job lot. As for the Linekar signature, depends on the pic and if it was from his playing days - again another pic will be nice. For the program surely your dad would have mentioned that he attended the final if it is an original - should still fetch a decent price.
I believe it's the actual match programme, he didn't go but his brother did and he passed it on. The USB port on my PC is full of glue from the little on so I'll have a scoop online for a couple of pics of the shirts. The picture is of Lineker in a Leicester kit, he has long black hair, and the sponsor is IND COOPE if that helps.
