Good week thus far: Jennifer Lawrence gets a deserved Oscar, we take six points off West Ham, Charlotte Thorstvedt knocked the restraining order down by 50ft...
There's a long way to go yet DL. - we're only 5 points behind them and we've still got to play them at home. Arsenal are 4 point behind us and no one is saying that we're dead certs to finish above them. I don't see what the difference is? And it's not just us, you could finish above them too.
Four hours behind over here, as you know Jack., I've still got the whole evening. Hehee heeee COYS.................
The comments are amazing. Traore, Gibbs and Sylvinho will never be mentioned in the same breath as Gareth Bale again
a great night to be a spurs fan, i can't wait to get into work in the morning to wind up all the chelski and gooners fans
Great reaction, slowly warming to the guy more, although the way he mumbles his way through interviews is annoying!
Better to mumble than grumble...
Finished watching the game in full, I've got to say Webb is a total twat gave West Ham all the soft fouls whilst giving us none and ignoring some blatant ones too. Not to go to Fergie but I don't believe 4 minutes is ever justified in a second half with 3 goals, 5 seperate subs, 4 bookings and numerous other stoppings for fouls and the West Ham players to have explained that they can't move the wall forward for every freekick. Should've been 5 but the decision was made at 2-2, I guess. Anyway maybe I'm just being grouchy because I'm tired. Great comeback, delighted for Sig in particular to finally get his first goal, fully deserved
I hope Sig starts the NLD, was our best player after he came on. I thought Holtby was poor, he gave the ball away on numerous occasions, and Lennon might as well not have been on the field for most of the game. Once again victory will mask a fairly average performance (caulker was our biggest goal threat), but at the end of the day, it is the result that counts.
Holby looks more effective from the bench, although I'm not sure how comfortable he feels operating from the left? yet he did put in some great crosses and may need time to adjust to the league/team. Yet at the moment, it doesn’t matter where the others play, just give the ball to Bale!
What are on about Roo? I loved every minute after the goal - and Ade played his best stuff all night in that 4 minute period....
Blimey! I think our players are in love with AVB and vice versa..Lots of hugging and........ Don't remember them doing that to Harry or Joe.......or did they...... Dressing room must be fun.......!
Was a great game to watch last night for a Spurs fan in the end. Overall, the win masked a few disappointing aspects though. Adebayor was poor again in my opinion bar the last 5-10 minutes where he actually held the ball up wel but his miss from three yards summed up his performances for us thus far. Holtby had his poorest game for us, misplaced too many passes and was deservedly subbed. The defence didn't look solid for me, Vertonghen got barged off the ball very easily at times, Walker let Jarvis slip through a couple of times which could've been costly and Dawson and Caulker's positioning for Cole's goal was poor, you could argue and say Lloris should've done better but he made up for that with the brilliant save not long afterwards. Parker was better in the second half, first half it was basic and he was too rash in the challenge for the pen, even if there was minimal contact. Dembele was lucky not be sent off, he kept making niggling fouls and with Webb's record against us, I was amazed he remained on the pitch. Postivies: Bale... Obviously! Sigurdsson probably had his most encouraging game in our shirt when he came on and no one deserved that goal more than he did. Tom Carroll came on and showed just why he's a great prospect, very neat passing, was always looking forward and not back like Parker does too often. Caulker, despite the negative for his positioning for their second goal, showed great attacking intent upfront and had it not been a keeper in form, would likely have ended up with a hat trick! It's nice to see we finally have a threat from corners now. Overall the general performance was ok, two sloppy bits of defending that could have cost us but we were by far the better team and were unlucky in the sense Jussi was on fire, we could've had 6 or 7 goals. Thankfully Bale came to the rescue again, his form at the moment is just unreal, definitely on his way to international stardom in my opinion. Dare I say it, he's probably the 3rd best player in the world right now, what a pleasure it is to watch him. EDIT: Just to add to positives: Was great to see the celebrations of Bale's 2nd goal and after the final whistle of players and staff, seems to be a real unity around the place. Huge credit to AVB.
Well I'm glad someone watched the same game as me. Poor, bitter, and clearly late for his Specsaver appointment Allardyce, says Spam were beaten by Gareth Bale...did he miss the 3 against the woodwork, Ade's missed sitter, and the half dozen saves from his keeper, two he knew nothing about, the ball just hit him. It was a tough game, according to Jabba the Hutt their best home performance, and another day the one-on-one v Lloris goes in and we go 3-1 down i keep hearing. Why single that out??, Ade's miss came before that, if that goes in as it should have, we go 2-1 up and go on to win comfortably imo.
