Not good prices but I like: No Way Hozay 11/8 Catterick 16.50 Franklin Roosevelt 13/8 Leicester 15.00 Howard's Legacy (no odds) Leicester 16.00 At those odds it would have to be a straight win treble. Some hopes.
Lucky 15 EW: 2:30 Leicester - Oddjob 8/1 3:40 Lingfield - Titan Diamond 15/2 4:00 Leicester - Top Smart 6/1 4:20 Catterick - Carmela Maria 7/1
Knew i see it somewhere. On twitter for that betfair QandA Paul Nichols said it was being trained for Aintree. Another bet down the drain.
Ladbrokes looking to tempt you in with My Tent Or Yours, Simonsig, Hurricane Fly, Dynaste, Sprinter Sacre and Quevega - all to be placed at Cheltenham Festival 3/1.
3.50 Catterick Fiddlesticks 25/1 Just a very small each-way interest in this. Buthelezi is a bit of a mad so and so and could end up being a bit of a monkey as much as he could win by 10 lengths, and the race lacks a bit of depth. With that in mind, Fiddlesticks is upped in trip for his hurdling bow after three promising enough bumper runs, and if he hurdles well he ought to have place chances. McCoy apparantly at Catterick for one ride though so undoubtedly there is a punt on the way for Roman Flight.
4.20 Catterick Carmela Maria 10/1 NAP Although she's got to put a couple of disappointing efforts behind her, the latest coming over todays C+D when running 6lb out of the handicap in a much better race than this, I still think Carmela Maria is more than capable of scoring off a mark of 93 at her favourite track where she has a tremendous 1-1-3-1-F-7 record over this C+D in handicaps. A horse that did me huge favours when landing a right old touch back in December when she was scoring in the same event for the 2nd year running off the same mark of 85 and it came as absolutely no surprise to me that she won well as it was clear that connections had been targeting that Class 4 event for quite a while. She did so in good style, pulling away after the last to score by 5L in a weak enough event despite not travelling overly well for a large part of the journey. 10 days later at the end of December she tried to repeat history for the 2nd time in consecutive years when sent off the 100/30 favourite under a 7lb penalty and she travelled an awful lot better than she did for her latest victory and there is no doubt in my mind she was going to take a hell of a beating that day before falling at 4 out. It was a shame to see her go down but luckily she didn't seem to do any lasting damage. Her 2nd last start came at Sedgefield on the 11th of January where she finished a well beaten 8th but that is of absolutely no concern to me as she is a completely different horse at Catterick - as suggested by her 0-22 record away from the track. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed with her latest effort when putting in her first poor performance over her favourite C+D when finishing a disappointing 29L beaten 7th, as she was under pressure from a long way out but that 0-125 handicap was clearly too tough for her racing 6lb out of the handicap but she'll find things an awful lot easier in this 0-105 rated handicap. Although its going to take a career best to win today as she is 3lb above her last winning mark, I certainly think she's up to defying it. Back in December 2011 she scored by a comfortable 7L (27L clear of the 3rd) off a mark of 90 from a horse who scored on his only subsequent outing off a 5lb higher mark and perhaps even more telling was her 1L defeat in this race last year off a mark of 102. Under today's rider and regular partner 7lb claimer Edmond Linehan, she was given a patient ride and was worked very nicely into the race and looked to hold every chance going over the last but couldn't get there in time as she had to settle for a narrowly beaten 3rd. The form of that race has worked out nicely with the winner Howizee, who probably won a shade cosily, winning 2 starts later off a 2lb higher mark impressively as well as getting beaten a head off a 19lb higher mark 3 starts later and he is 22lb higher than his success that day. Looking through the opposition, none of her rivals are in great form at all and this looks an extremely winnable contest - so much more so than her last race. A little faith is certainly needed to back her and although there are a couple of unexposed types in the race the fact that the current favourite races from 4lb out of the handicap says all you need to know about this race's quality. Off a mark that I am sure she is more than capable of scoring off and over a C+D where she clearly thrives, I will be desperately disappointed if she doesn't at least place but I'm quietly confident she can register C+D victory number 4 and extend her tremendous record at Catterick.
Sticking with the all weather again today as I have done for a while due to the poor ground conditions, Hoping for some dry weather until Cheltenham to produce some decent ground for the festival. I have three selections today for Singles, Doubles and a treble, I am quite hopeful on all three. Lingfield 2.40 Entrapping 9-4 Ran well behind the Fav in the earlier race but looked like should have a race in him very soon, 3.10 Spin Again 2-1 This horse's price is short enough but that is actually part of the attraction as the stable have clearly gone for it today. 3.40 Botten 11-4 An opportunity to get off the mark for what is clearly not one of a very good stables leading lights. Best odds all prices Good luck all

Hello lads. Nothing for me today...pretty moderate action tbh. Seymour Legend runs in the 2.30 at Leicester. Which past Cheltenham festival winner carried these colours?
I purchased and have received a 'No Bet' banner from Sir Barney's online shop, and am waving the bloody thing now! GL with all the above selections and related bets!
I got mine there too and customised it by adding "****ing" for greater emphasis. Barney must be making a fortune with poor racing such as todays....
Afternoon, all. Nothing for me today as the action is pretty uninspiring. My banner is flying in the breeze just like so many others! However, just been looking through the old runners for tomorrow and one stands out above all the others. I think, in fact, there may be yet another Pipe plot in the air. Yes, I’ve just sniffed the air and I can deffo smell it brewing. MILITARY PRECISION gets into the 4.00 heat at Wincanton on a perch of 97 and if he’s not a darned sight better than that figure then I’ll eat my jolly old hat! He showed a flicker of usefulness in his opening bumper back in January ’11 and on his hurdling bow for those old rogues, the Pipe’s, back in December was not beaten very far by some nice types (including Leviathan who beat him 3.75 lengths, off levels, and is now rated 115). This effort was followed by a pair of down the field efforts in above average novice hurdles. But my reading of the situation is that he only ran in these 2 races because it was necessary for him to do so in order to earn a handicap mark. I’m sure the jockey wasn’t hard on him in either races (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more) and Daddy Martin had a glint in his eye when he learnt how the old assessor had rated Military Precision. Set to run in his first handicap tomorrow I’m sure we will see a different animal in 24 hours hence and he looks the sort capable of running up a sequence. Hopefully starting at Wincanton. Sporting Life currently are going 9/2 re this one and it will be interesting to see the betting patterns when the old market opens. Have a look at him, people, what do we think?!?
I keep coming back to HOARE ABBEY 5/1 in the 3.30 Leic and have decided its worth an investment. I'll play EW singles and double with ROTOs in the 4.20.
