I thought Ade couldn't work with AVB at the beginning of the season but this lack of form isn't down to a character clash. I don't the hell know what it is. Well AVB son, you're in new waters in the EPL now and I for one am bloody grateful for what you've done so far. Just get us that pivotal win and at the moment that would be any match we win by a clear two goal margin.

Must agree to disagree, but have to say he had one of the wildest air shots I have ever seen in the run in to our equaliser!!
Because we won Ade was let off the hook so now hopefully that fact will inspire him to score goals now.
Yeah i think so too. We'll need Benny to deal with Walcott's pace too. It'll be interesting to see what the deal is with Vertonghen. I know players have bad games, but he looked like he had a dead leg and could hardly move. When he was on the ball, he tried to get rid of it as soon as he could. Hopefully he'll be ok to play CB on sunday.
Gareth Bale has also equalled the most Premier League goals by a Welsh player in a single season - he has 15 now, level with Mark Hughes (1992-93), Dean Saunders (1994-95) and John Hartson (1997-98). That's quite a stat. The only players with more league goals than him this season are van Persie and Suarez.
AVB continues to get a lot of things right - when we as fans haven't necessarily agreed. So hats off to him. But for me he should have swapped Verts for Benny in the 2nd half but other than that he called it 100% right. Proving a lot of Chavs wrong at the moment!!
Sigurdsson was brilliant in my opinion. Bale's goals shadowed the impact he had on the game when he came on. That's the Gylfi that we saw at Swansea - dangerous with the ball with a keen eye for goal. More of the same please lad. Bale though... Just take a bow son. Hugo - amazing save, had he not saved it, game over. Ade... **** off mate.
I challenge you to find another meaningful similarity with Hartson. He's got some way to go to be the most decorated Welsh player in the PL.
A little shout out to Tom Carroll is in order too. - He helped us keep calm in possession and played some good passes into space. - That must have been a very daunting game for a young lad. There's something about his style I really like to watch, but I can't pinpoint what it is.
He seems intelligent, calm and has a load of space, for no apparent reason. Still reminds me of Modric, though clearly nowhere near as good, yet.
Unbelievable. Just an amazing goal from Bale. Consecutive 89th minute winners makes me want to keep the cholesterol down until the end of the season. Spurs came out looking as bad as any time I've watched them--looking very much like a team that had played midweek. Parker got much better later on, but the problem at first was Dembele and Parker losing the midfield battle. That and everyone passing poorly. Agreed that Spurs started playing when they went 2-1 down. They were excellent from there and a poor keeper would have made it 8-2. Very glad Gylfi got off the schneid. I keep thinking he looks dangerous and creative, but just could not catch a break. Another post today. The first problem with Ade and Holtby was that they didn't get the ball much early. I though Ade was decent later, had a number of good passes. He and Caulker had a about three or four headers between them that were too close to the keeper, but they were robbed on, what, three others. Holtby looked frustrated by all the hitting. I wanted to see Jan on the left and now I'm sorry I did. It's the first multi-goal game the defense has had in a while, it's the first time in a while Jan hasn't been a CB, and the two facts don't appear coincidental. We looked panicky at times. I've wanted Caulker in purely for his heading. Well, he was robbed, he kind of miss-hit another, but it was amazing to see him win three headers in great positions. He dropped Carroll like a bad transmission. I'm not competent to tell if it was a penalty. McManaman's analysis, which sounded plausible, was that while Parker did get the ball with his right foot, his left leg whipped the other player's leg, so it was a penalty. I hate McManaman. Absolute total crap as an announcer. Can't even do an announcer's first job, which is to sound like he's interested in the game. Would have loved to listen to Neville. I've liked Carroll every time I've seen him. Great to see Jake as a fan favorite again, considering how much he loves Spurs. So: why can't we have an easy one, for once? We invited them to score the second goal, as we did early in the season. But: great spirit, fantastic game, and Bale is completely unbelievable. Picked himself up and whipped in a goal the keeper didn't even move for from thirty yards.
On the way home from the game, hard fought but deserved 3 points. Heres my take on the evening Match ticket £49, train fare £13, beers at liverpool st £25. Winning at that ground against those pikey twats, Priceless
Yeah, what is it with this space he always seems to have??!! I've noticed that after he makes a pass, straight away he moves somewhere completely random, but the ball ends up coming back to him very quickly. - Where again, he's in loads of space. it's really quite clever. The passes themselves almost always seem to have the perfect weighting on them too. Got high hopes for Tom Carroll.
I said, right at the start of the season, that AVB's primary motivation will be to finish above the Mad Dog XI. I don't care what he may say on the matter or what anyone else may tell me, that is what is motivating him. He is so obviously one of the best managers of his generation, in the world, and Mad Dog (and the Chelsea fans) treated him like a complete ****er! The man has pride, so that will have hurt. My worry was that the need for revenge would have clouded his judgement, but he's not only proven me wrong (which I have absolutely no qualms in owning-up to), but he's proving that he has the kind of control and self-discipline that was so sorely lacking under Redknapp's stewardship. All hail, AVB!
You dominated the 2nd half, the scoreline didn't really reflect the game. Bale will (rightly) take all the plaudits but the real MOTM was Jaaskalinen because but for his heroics you lot would have scored no less than 6 goals tonight. What makes me angry is that we the fact we lost to that very West Ham side that Arsenal and Spurs have found out to be below average
