I had some sort of crustless quiche with a mint and tomato salad. It was not appropriate for the current season imho but vanished nonetheless. Uninspiring days racing if you ask me, I've borrowed Dex's 'No f***ing bets' banner.
Dexter, I have to eat humble pie here (God, sorry, ). Wife did a wonderful job with the leeks, baked them in the oven with champignons and tomatoes, with a bit of grated cheese on top. Then served with a nice thick slice of cold Kasseler (smoked and salted cut of pork, German cuisine). Really was great. Guess I'm just one of those grumpy old men? Sould not have complained about the good old leek. Tell George I've had a ****ing bet on my selection, must be mad, but gives a bit of interest in the racing.
