The squad are going to Subway, and no two members can have the same sandwich. There's going to be a fight over who gets the Italian BMT...

  2. Daws, Lennon & Defoe only players still in the team, but I suppose 3/11 isn't bad nearly 7 years later.

  5. Want a win, but frankly would settle for a draw. Not a game I am looking forward to at all.

Which of our CB's should deal with Andy Carroll?, aswell as Daws has been, I think AC might just be all over him aerially, but Daws does have the experience. Caulker is our best in the air when in form, which currently he isn't! and JV is rubbish in an aerial duel from what I've seen generally so far, so what say you? :)

  7. Just thinking the same Notso. I am actually leaning towards Daws actually as I think he has the experience and physicality to best deal with Mandy. He also knows more about derbies with the Spammers.
But I have enough faith in all of the 4 possibles to not lose too much sleep either way.

There'll be more than fight if Hudd is told he can only have 'one'!

He's the poor sod who'll have the grey horror they refer to as "tuna"

I'd go Daws & Gallas - both have experience, an both can get physical when needs be. Verts is a must for the NLD.

Interesting that you raise the R word. On my "Relegation Watch on the Norwich board I list them as the best outside bet for the drop,They beat us at the start of January with the outragous help of Mark Clattenburg.Since then just a 1-0 at home to Swansea and a couple of draws. If you win tonight they are iback n it IMO

That's ambition for ya. You could predict anything since you'll probably not be back for awhile yet holding on for a draw is the best you could hope for :D

The game starts at 8, he'll be in hospital having his stomach pumped after a 12 hour binge on Jaeger and Newcastle Brown Ale.

Seriously mate, get over it. All the decisions were 50-50 and if it wasn't for your keeper playing a blinder we would have won by 3 or 4.

With regards to tonight, I see only one result and that's a Spurs win. We have zero confidence and with the form Bale is in I just can't see our defence coping atall. If we can contain him then we could battle for a point.

West Ham 1-3 Spurs is how I see it.

I don't see a defeat tonight making a lot of difference to our chances of survival. This won't be a game we will be banking on getting points from and anything tonight will be a bonus.

We got the points on the board early and there are enough winnable games left to get the last few wins needed to stay up comfortably in lower midtable which is decent considering the mess we were in just 2 short years ago.

Some interesting articles on AVB's press conference quotes:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-analysis-in-football-as-useless-8509600.html

    http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/194780.html?CMP=OTC-RSS#

I like his quote at the end of the ESPN one, he's not looking to ignore the pressure, they're important games and if we win them it will put us in an excellent position. We have to win them though if we're going to relieve some of the pressure on us at the moment, although barring 2 losses I don't think the pressure will be increased.

In my predicted/ hopeful team for tonight, I put Adebayor upfront... I've now changed my mind, I don't want to see the guy start another game for us unless we're extremely desperate. I now want Dempsey upfront, may not be an out and out striker but he works a damn lot harder than the £100k a week muppet. Actually sick of Ade now, I really do think he's done what many Gooners and City fans said - earned the initial contract and then sat back and relaxed. His attitude and body language is a disgrace and then reading the comments he made about how he saw the "30,000 fans criticism as a joke", he can quite frankly do one now.

    Minor rant over <ok>

I actually thought he was one of our better players against Lyon, held the ball up well. I think he may be getting some form back, just in time.

  19. Bit harsh SOS!! His comments were a generalisation and in particular he inferred that a crowd booing him was nothing to the traumatic events that he has been through with the Togo shooting etc. As he was clearly prompted to answer about possible negativity from his delayed response, I think that the comments are hardly unreasonable in that context.

And he did come up with an explanation for his late return that was quite credible in the circumstances.

And as WY says - he put in a decent shift on Thursday and look to have certainly regained some if that touch which had gone missing recently.

Think I will reserve judgement and see how the next couple of games map out.

If the 30,000 fans that booed him had bothered to pay attention to his Country/Teams circumstances and get their facts straight, there wouldn't have been any boo's to comment on. I find it incredibly stupid and naive of people to think its just a simple case of driving to the airport, and hopping on a plane straight from the stadium you got knocked out in.

He is Captain, and Togo got the furthest ever in the tournament, no mean feat after being shot at the last time!

It is therefore no surprise the President of their country wanted to congratulate them and it wasn't a meeting that could be planned because who knew how far they'd go!

It is not Ade's fault that JD is injured, and Spurs have not got anymore strikers!
