No it's not good but it's something that we have to deal with. We can be grateful that we have got him at the minute. We do have other options up front and I do believe that if he does get recalled then mad dog will try and bring in another striker on loan to cover the loss. And I believe that's Cody is out of contract this summer so hopefully something can happen then.

I thought he had a year left at the end of the season, hopefully you are correct because to sign him on a free would be brilliant.

I was right on this, just done a bit of research he signed a 3 year deal back in 2011 so he is contracted to the end of the 2013-14 season so he will require a fee which I would not believe would be much more than 300k hopefully.

That's a shame. 300k is steep considering he will be in his last year.

And don't forget his wages as well!

Anyway, we all knew this could happen. So lets be greatful for his help this season as his goals have already gained us 5 extra points towards our promotion 'goal'.

Depends how much of a say Cody gets tbh. He's stated he wants to stay and has moved his family down here so will not want to up root them again I'd have thought. Who knows, wouldn't be the end of the world but would certainly take some of the drive of recent games away!

    Thanks Cody,

Once again you were briliant. I just hope the likes of Burton and Birchall can step it up in these last few months, to get us over that promotion finishing line.

I don't want to see Kedwell and Burton together again as that makes me want to cry even more it has to be Birchall and Kedwell or Burton and Birchall.

It's not coventry's fault if we sent someone to Luton and he scored goals we would of recalled him . But Birchall ( who has not scored in the league ) will not be good enough for a main striker . IMO we need to sign someone.

Yeah but that is a bit different as they have someone who is scoring a lot of goals consistently Leon Clarke, if we did have someone scoring that amount it would take a lot for us to recall them.

Coventry seem to be lacking a bit of class here. The loan was meant to be for the rest of the season. Recall clauses are normally only triggered during an injury crisis but they just want him back now that we have got him in the groove again. Would we recall Payne or Montrose like that?

I wonder if we have a recall clause on Payne or Montrose?

This is now the perfect time for Birchall to step up. If he can get a good run in the side knowing that he's the main striker and that MA has faith in him then it will only be a matter of time before he starts scoring. I imagine Weston may start to play further up the pitch to provide competition which will allow one (or both) of Williams and Richardson to feature in the side.

Sad to see Cody go but we knew it was going to happen. Hopefully he will be given more of a chance at Coventry now that they have a new manager.

I really really hope Birchall steps up now. He has scored more goals than any other player in one season in the BSP, we need to see that player. He's got it in him, just needs to get off the mark in the league.

Good Luck Cody...... hope you go on to bigger things at last.Even in you short spell back here you have brought a breath of fresh air
to the team and helped to rejuvenate our confidence to win games.
Birch will need a fair run in the side to return to his form of two seasons ago. I remember Danny Jackman saying after his two longish
injury absences, that it takes at least ten games to recapture original match fitness. Something unlikely to be ever afforded Birch under
the MA rotation system, especially at this critical time of the final promtion push. With Cody's wages now available I expect a goal
    scorer to be signed soon.
