This thread is here to keep upto date on the Bradford game in the cup final against Swansea.
Odds you can get on Bradford are very good, I got 8/1 on a win in 90 minutes at Betfred.

Who believes that Bradford can win today?
I think it is a joke that it is not on BBC today, I am sure it has in the past if I remember correctly.

A pointless thread, but seeing as it's here, it's shame Bradford's keeper duke was sent off, because now he will miss the game vs port vale :emoticon-0184-tmi:

Yeah it was here as I believed that they may actually win and then we could talk about how they done it for League 2 but they showed the gap between them and Swansea today sadly.
Duke will miss the game against Dag & Red but ain't that it because if I remember correctly Nelson was only banned for one match, what was different between his and Duke's challenge?

You could well be right Hoadie, but I thought a straight red was a three match ban...unless it's different for a keeper <confused>

by the way, i thought brb made the bold prediction this weekend regards gills and promotion, but i think you have shadowed that Hoadie with a bet on Bradford to go one better and take another premiership scalp in a final <laugh>

The next full competitive game only if my understanding of the rules is correct:

    (c) PLAYERS SENT OFF UNDER LAW 12 (4) and (5)
A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for denying a goal or an obvious goalscoring
opportunity by physical means or by handling the ball, will be suspended automatically
from FTCM commencing forthwith, until such time as his Club has completed its next FTCM.

Sadly £15 but I will get over it, I don't usually stake that much either.

As this thread is here I thought I would use it to ask a question about Bradfords 'achievement' in reaching this cup final. For the last few weeks commentators, Journalists, Pundits and Supporters have waxed lyrical about Bradford and this fantastic performance, but as supporters how do we really rank this. This team beat Watford, Wigan, Arsenal and Villa, all exceptional victories, but they are outside the play off places in what is surely the most important competition they take part in, surely a team that beat these illustrious opponents should be challenging for Automatic promotion and if not why not? Our manager has been much maligned for our home form, yet there manager can do no wrong despite winning 2 in 10 in the league! Surely if he can get them motivated for the cup games he should be able to do this in the league too. This is probably the best supported team in or league and one of the pre season favourites who have under performed in the league and if I was a supporter I would wonder why. I would love to know what other fans think and how we would feel if it was us!

I have to say I would rather finish top of League 2 than actually win the League cup, I see performing better in the league much more important as I have been talking about this a bit today.

As a player, as a fan, as anyone involved in football slightly lower than the top you have to say these opportunities do not come round very often. Whether it be a cup final (FA cup, league cup, JPT etc) or the chance for a league championship or promotion, you have to make the best of any chance you have and enjoy the experience of that which might only happen once in your career. Just look at the previous finals and not many clubs outside the top flight play in the final and Bradford got there the hard way. Asking which is most important is pretty petty in my opinion, similar to asking which child you love most. A fantastic achievement by Bradford which should be admired and not be put down as it's not this and it's not that.

Can't argue with that Gemini, very well put and didn't I mean to be petty, and I do admire the achievement which may never be equalled.

Could take too young to bed another way, but no I am not old enough to bet as I am 17 but in January next year I will be but at the moment I use my brothers account which he kindly lets me use. I have been betting a bit since I was 15, not as much as now but a bit but I am fine on there, will be able to have my own account in 2014.

Hoadie - do you remember a long time a go you and me having a discussion about drinking alcohol?

Basically to cut a long story short, I drink and you don't and the reasons you openly gave.

Absolutely fine with me, people are free to do as they so choose, even overlooking the legal aspect of it. However, I will say this, you measured your discussion with me about alcohol from experience. Many could apply that same logic about betting. I hope that makes sense.
