Wish I shared your optimism, Scarbs.

But I think Udinese will come second and we'll be left to battle it out in the play-offs.

I just think Watford have some hard games coming up and they will slip up...

Steve Bruce to kick our players back into gear.

And Chris Wood will grab you lots of goals .

Watford are certainly not infallible and I'm sure there's plenty of opportunities to drop points. The difficult thing though is that the same goes for the rest of our teams - people were surprised when Barnsley knocked us out of the FA Cup but they've been on a great run since then and they could well beat Watford BUT we also have them still to play as well and I'm sure they'll fancy their chances in that game too.
No point in speculating about final placings yet as there'e just too many games to go and results throughout the league ar all over the place.

lol I think Scarborough is a closet Leicester fan. Every post I see from him predicts us to win, or get promoted, Wish I was as optimistic.

    Cardiff fan,

I am afraid we have been conditioned to expect promotion for a good many years and we do not expect to have a worse side the following season if that does not happen. The idea that a side who has for the past 5/6 years been pushing the top six places has done worse than many sides who never get that close and that without including three finals at wembley seems strange.

We have been in the play offs, we are fed up with the play offs and want auto.

If we do not get it we go again as we have done over the years.

To consider the battle at the top of the championship less exciting than mid table in the premiership is a mistake.

Premiership sides are now scared of the championship and not because of the money but the fear they will not get back.

What should be said is cardiff are always very close each season and therefore give themselves a better chance than clubs who show up once then never get close again.

Another thing is we dont mind who gets promoted with us if we finally do it ourselves, we have enough problems trying to win each game as it comes to worry about anyone else.

You only want one slot and your best chance is to beat those around you. Imagine you beat us and we failed to make the top two, that would mean we hardly won any games so where would that leave you?

Thinking we should make it is not good enough, you earn every point in this league and we haven`t done enough yet.

    Miami

I have bets on Leicester and Hull to both go up.

I also have two special friends who both support the Foxes ..

Plus I think NP did a fine Job at Hull.

Plus If we Both go up , both sets of fans are happy and can carry on the banter. Chat .

I hope we Both win all our games and everyone else f--ks up.

If Hull don't finish 2nd.... Then I'd rather you did then palace... Or Watford ... Or M-Boro ..

Though of course I hope we do get top or second ....

Miami. If you ever have the misfortune to see the dress code favoured by Scab you would appreciate that him tipping Lester for promo may be yet another catastrophic error of judgement.
I too can see the merit in you joining us in the Prem next year. With Mr Inflexible as your manager one of the relegation spots will be bagsed early doors.

Some interesting points on the thread ..

For me I think the number of games still to play make it a lottery even now l...

Run-ins have very little to do with it IMHO - it's all about form, momentum and the ability to win (as Wigan showed last season in the Prem) .... and as I've often repeated, draws can be the death of you in this league .. any club stringing 3 or 4 wins on the bounce will surge .. and in terms of 'run-ins' - if you were looking at the Prem now, and the relegation battle and you were looking at the run-in you'd be quite pessimistic about any of those teams having to play Man United in the last couple of games - yet the league is likely to be won by then and Fergie has a habit of giving squad players a game once it is - remember West Ham's (Tevez) escape a few years back when they beat a Man United 'representative eleven' on the final day at Old Trafford thereby sending Sheff United down ...

Sill all to play for .... fun isn't it?

We win our games in hand and then we still right behind Watford and Hull. There is still alot of points left to play for at the minute I would say Watford are in the driving seat but things can change very quickly. The only team I would confidently put money on about promotion is Cardiff

Lambrettas ... Cut downs and chops until I got offered a vespa too cheap to turn down... Bloody thing never broke down once in over 26,000 miles so that converted me to Vespa's ... Got a lovely Mark 1 T5 parked in shed as I type this ... No mirrors for me and I am so NOT a mod ... Right just off out to buy Desmond Dekkers new single I reckon it will be number one this week.

Also Need to pop into Arthur Masons and see if they have got any of those White 'Skinners' in as well

Now were did I hang my Harrington.

That's a good point. Even though the pessimist in me thinks Watford would do it, the cautious side of me wouldn't put a grand on Watford.

Won't be too upset if Hull beat us to 2nd, even though we've edged them head-to-head this season (means nothing really I know) but will be pretty pissed if Watford get that spot- I know what they're doing is technically legit but I just don't like it. Part of me, seeing the Bradford fans yesterday, does really want to go to Wembley though (I've never been!).
