Supposedly, they've sold less than 5,000 tickets, the star attraction in Larson can not attend, the game is the day after the SC final, so fans, after shelling out for season tickets, are feeling the pinch - fair enough. But no, they've cancelled it the game because of security fears over Neil Lennon So, there will be NO rival fans in a game of Celtic v Celtic at Parkhead and there are security fears?? Guess, they'll be moving to get the SC Final cancelled then?

Nope. Nothing to do with ticket sales or because it's the day after the Cup Final. In light of recent events would you suspect that perhaps this match would require a larger Police/Security presence than an average run-of-the mill testimonial game? I think it goes without saying that because of the number of threats made against Celtic players, management and even high profile Celtic fans then there is a need for more security. Extra security (in this case the Police), means additional funds are needed for the higher than normal Police presence which this game would require, more money to the Police means less money for John Kennedy. I also suspect that Celtic FC would have been advised by the Police to postpone the game until their investigation into the threats is concluded. Two men have been arrested and are in custody but obviously the Police suspect there are still people out there who pose a security risk to Celtic FC and it's players/employees. It's all quite logical if you had bothered to look for a sensible reason as to why the game was called off, rather than use the postponement as an excuse to point score.
