What gamble? We have billionaire Malaysian owners who have been trying to run the club within their means. We regularly get over 23,000 fans in a great new stadium with corporate income along with rent income from the Blues so we can afford more wages than most.

...we just need to get a blend of players who deserve those wages imo. We all thought we had it this year but it proved not to be the case. There's work to be done but I agree, the club is in a better position than its been for years.

I don't think administration is on the cards.

A number of players will be moving on in the summer, either loans returning to their parent clubs or expiring contracts. Some new blood for next season is coming for better or worse.

I'd like to see DJ given one more shot at promotion, but without one hand tied behind his back. Bringing new players in with a full pre-season rather than 'what's left' (not putting Bellamy in that category) just before the start of the season (an unfit Koumas, the last available left back, etc) would be a true judge of where we are.

Good luck to Swansea and Reading, if it's not us, then I don't really care who it is!

    ITFC fan in peace.

How likely is it that you'll keep Bellamy. He's obviously not needed at City and is a local lad at heart.

Now we haven't been promoted I'd say unlikely as Man City will want to gain something for him and loaning him out won't do that and we can't afford a decent enough wage for him in the Championship. I'd say he is off to somewhere like Fulham to team up with Mark Hughes.

No, we can't afford him. Sure he may want to stay (though I think only if we had of made the prem), but he should be in the prem and he will be next year. Fulham would be a good fit.

He wants to stay, that's the point. I think he will as well. . . but, it all depends on who's chosen as the new manager. And there will be a new manager, of that I think we can be pretty sure. I like the way Gethin J is handling this though. No knee jerk reactions. . . however, I reckon they may well have someone lined up. And I also think we could be in for an exciting summer. I hate being an optimist.

As I said above, I'd like DJ to have one more shot. If they have someone lined up GLAM, it needs to happen quickly. We can't afford the summer to move on without someone at the helm. Burke and Jay need to make quick decisions as well. We know which division we will be in next week and we need to shape the squad accordingly. I think Jay's decision will be based on who the manager is (Mark Hughes anyone?).

Thought Blake was a star again last night by the way.

With the under 21 side being established, a Malaysian acadamy and tour on the cards, a lot of foundatons are being layed down. We need some commitments from the men from the east and some quick decisions.

I wonder if Cardiff will hang on to players or cash in if the offers come?

I dont think we will cash in on anyone, dont really have to by all accounts, will be glad if the following leave though. Bothroyd, Blake,Naylor,Gypes,Rae. I also predict Jones will move upstairs as that is the cheapest option, and get an established manager to get us rolling again. My choice would be Warnock if QPR get Rid, Big Sam or Di Matteo. Its not all bad the Championship will be as competetive as ever next year and on the whole in my humble opinion a far more exciting league than the Premiership, this was my view before we got knocked out of the playoff's. I cannot understand what went so wrong in the latter end of the season and the manager has to take this blame, all of the other teams in the top 6 apart from us seemed up for it and focused, Us, we looked like a relegation outfit and the results back that view up.

Well I do wish you boys all the best, sorry to see the way it's gone again for you, some of your players don't deserve to wear the shirt, got some definite deadwood to kick out! Not impressed this season with Bothroyd either, very lacklustre............
