ITV finally take notice of us!!

Newcastle United know they have really made it now, with the honour of at last being covered by ITV.

In previous rounds it appears ITV believed there to be only three English teams in the Europa League but United have belatedly been noticed by the broadcaster who previously couldn’t look beyond Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea.

The away match against Anzhi Makhachkala on March 7 has been chosen for live coverage by ITV4, coverage will start at 4.30pm and the match kicks off at 5pm (BST).

The move will of course make the match much more easily accessible to the black and white nation, although for many it does take away the pressing need to have to go to the pub and watch it.

I had begun to wonder whether it would be the final in Amsterdam before ITV would feel obliged to accept that Newcastle United were also in the competition, let’s hope that it only the first of a number of appearances on ITV in the coming weeks/months.

Could we send him there to do a documentary on Albanian carpet samples. About 100 episodes, with one filmed every other week, while he conducts detailed investigations to prepare for the next episode, should be a good start.

we should of told itv to get lost the media coverage of our romp around Europe has been shocking, I don't think talksport knew we were actually playing Chelsea, Chelsea ,spurs, spurs, spurs, Liverpool, Liverpool,newcarsul may have played last night

I actually used Waddle as my reason for cancelling ESPN when I rang up. The bloke on the other end of the phone did his usual bollox of trying to get me to stay and offered me half price for x months etc etc, I just said, look mate, you could give it to me for free and I still wouldn't take it, and when he asked why I told him cos I couldn't stand listening to Chris Waddle commentating. He never argued with me !!
