It's not my thing , but when it comes to Top speed , Massive engines , Close racing with lots of overtaking opportunities , what more could you ask for , except perhaps the open top version .............

It is ridiculously long and boring though, with cars just driving in a circle for like 200 laps

They do have the occasional right turn. Generally not planned, often ends up with bits of the car where it doesn't belong.

In Gran Turismo 5, Nascar is probably the most difficult event. The cars are mad and the tyres have basically melted after the first couple of laps. Still boring though.

Watching a car drive round in circles for 200 laps sounds like a great day out....

I've raced online with NASCARs, and I must say the notion of turning left for 200 laps is counteracted by the fact you could be going 3 or 4 wide for a large majority of those laps.

Any sort of motor sport is great for mixing with like-minded fans and having a party. If the weather is good it's even better. I used to go to Thruxton when I was younger for both car and bike racing, fantastic fun, especially if you can get in the pit area. Also used to go to Santa Pod and Blackbush with some mates who had built a drag bike (2 750cc Norton Commando engines in one bike, running on nitromethane, went like snot off a stick) and that was brilliant fun as well.

Not meaning to be cruel, but does no one else find it a bit weird/odd this whole Muamba thing? And how it is still continuing...

Why does everyone insist on wheeling him out as a hero and the like?

He's one of many, many heart-attack sufferers, at the end of the day the heroes are the Doctors and Nurses.

Nice guy but is this really necessary?
