I don't think you can say it's all plastic fans just because they have sold more tickets for the final than there normal attendance. Lots of fans can't afford to go to every game, or have jobs that stop them being available for the games, or live far away from there club etc etc... There are loads of reasons why fans don't go regularly to see there team. But then they make the effort for big occasions. Some fans don't get to see any games live, but that doesn't make them a plastic fan.
professional footballers versus shelf stackers . It would always be a one sided competition wouldnt it. ?
Good that Swansea is winning. Playing good football and on the way to winning the Cup. Well done to Bradford to get this far but it's better that Swansea wins in the long run. It vindicates the need to play good football. This will push Laudrup further up in the managers rankings. Clubs will be after him next season.
Sooner or later someone had to do it. Swansea didn't take no prisoners whereas teams like us took them lightly. Always give your best in every game you play.
Though, in the case of Swansea, they've not given their best in numerable matches this season. They've only won a third of their league matches after all, and were outclassed in their FA Cup 3rd Round Replay
You can only do so much with the squad you have. They have done well in the premiership considering the players they have. Winning the Carling is a very good achievement.
When i went to the LC final in 2011 my ticket cost £80,no doubt the tickets would dearer for today's final. It's funny how some Bradford fans can't afford tickets for a home game but can afford to pay for a ticket and travel to today's final.I totally understand that some fans can't afford to go to every game or their work commitments prevent them from attending games. The point i was making was that how many fans at today's game had never seen their team live.
