When I say best game I don't mean the most satisfying result or best occasion, I mean just an all round fantastic technical game with two good teams, and us coming out with a win.

I could say that we should have defended the two goals better, but I think Southampton were very good and played their game very well.

I don't think I could pick out a player who played badly.

I though Elliot was pretty solid after the first half.

    Ratings -

Elliot - 7 - Some shakey moments, but I thought he was good. A fantastic save to keep out Lambert, and some good touches at set plays. The bloke seems to be a decent back up.

Debuchy - 7.5 - Good performance today. Great tackling, did pretty well in the air, and was a threat on the wing.

Colo - 7.5 - Sad to see him come off. He was good while playing. Sexual skills to get out of that corner.

Saylor - 8 - Solid performance today. Coped well with Lambert's threat and looked strong.

Santon - 7.5 - Apart from his **** spell at the start of the second half, I thought he was good. Got us up the pitch and threatened Southampton. He defended well for most of the game, just a few slip ups.

Tiote - 8 - Great performance. Some stupid pissing about a couple of times, but I thought he was good. He's shown signs of the old Tiote since coming back from the ACoN, and on his first PL start back he was good. Howay Tiote!

Cabaye - 8 - Sexual passes. Good work rate and good all round performance.

Gouffran - 8 - Great performance from the bloke. Worked hard all game again and was crucial in our build up play. Fantastic player.

Jonas - 7.5 - Good performance. Good defensive work and skills. So glad Jonas is back.

    BEAST - 9 - BEAST!

Cisse - 7.5 - I came when he goal went in. ****ing came.

Mbiwa - 8 - This bloke is class. Pace, skill, strength, aerial ability. He'll be our next star for sure. I think he could easily challenge Colo and Saylor for their places.

    Perch - N/A -

    MOTM - BEAST!

Overall - Great game, great performance. Nuff said. Can't wait to see the game again on the replay.

Agree with most but Taylor an 8? He was at fault for both their goals and I would only give him a 6 and that's being generous

For their first he was turned as if he wasn't even there and for the second he was sooooooo slow to react

The first one maybe, the second one was due to our left side being so exposed. Can't really blame Saylor for that.

The first one definitely and yes Santon was just as much to blame but if Saylor had reacted then he would have easily dealt with it. He got a 6 which is a good score despite these two errors as I felt he contained Lambert pretty well

You didn't tell me that LTF, DT & GLITF were all going to the match. I'd have made an effort to get there.

Elliot - 7 - Better at distribution than Krul.

Debuchy - 8 - His best game for us by a country mile

    Colo - 7 - Same old Colo.

Saylor - 8 - Did well... too much walkabout for my liking though.

Santon - 6 - Thought he had a mare. He's primarily a defender but was nowhere to be seen for their second goal. He left wide open spaces all game as he is about all out attack.

    Tiote - 8 - He's back.

    Cabaye - 8 - Exquisite passing... what a player.

    Gouffran - 8 - Great performance

Jonas - 7 - Good defensively but going forward a bit anonymous

BEAST - 9.5 - No one could handle him. He reminds me of a steam train that people are **** scare to get in front of.

Cisse - 7 - I bet Tash came when he goal went in. ****ing came.

Mbiwa - 8 - Talk about classy defending.

    MOTM - Sissoko

A great game all round. It's ages since I've felt all game that we would be unbeatable. Hope this little run continues.... 3 wins out of 4.

2nd goal was down to Santon for me. Whenever I watch him now I think of a phrase from the film Austrailia with Jackman and Kidman "little fella gone walkabout"

He just doesn't this defending thing! Saylor maybe could have got over, been better positioned, but the lad had so much time to pick his pass. Stop it at source y picking the right time to push on.

Personally thought Debuchy was comfortably MOTM.

Debuchy had his best game yet, Sissoko as Tash says is a beast, agree about Saylor going 'Walkabout', Southampton were a tough team to beat today, but luckily we were able to come from behind again.

the worrying thing is.... with Santon going walkies.... and Saylor liking to get up field we could be horribly exposed against the bigger teams.... just thought.... we were like that under Keegan at times... for Santon read Bez and for Saylor read my namesake... Albert...

Good to see Tiote back on form again, thought he had a good game today. Looked very confident on the ball.

Agree there. Tiote hardly put a foot wrong and was a tough as teak.
A bit of a dodgy barnet though...
