lets hope so mate, i've not been on the Swansea board this week I see they are not playing the National Anthem before the game
At least there are 'real' football fans at Wembley today rather than the 'plastics' the big guns normally attract. The Bradford fans really enjoying themselves...
Let's hope Bradford are able to achieve an outcome like ours in 1967:- 1-0 down already, will it be another comeback win like us? QUEENS PARK RANGERS 3 WEST BROMWICH ALBION 2 The League Cup came of age in 1967. Since its inception in 1962 the cup had been ignored by the top clubs. The first five finals were played over two legs and attracted little media attention. The tournament needed a revamp to survive. A one-off Wembley final was introduced by the Football League to add glamour to its pride and joy. The magic of the twin towers had an immediate effect. Third Division Queens Park Rangers stunned First Division (now Premier League) West Bromwich Albion. The final looked to be following the script when then the favourites went 2-0 up. A Clive Clark brace put the Baggies firmly in control. The underdogs grabbed a lifeline through Roger Morgan's 62 minute header. The goal lifted The R's who drew level in style. With 14 minutes remaining, Rodney Marsh picked up possession on the edge of the Albion penalty area. The 22-year-old striker ghosted past a defender before firing home. The comeback was complete on 81 minutes. Mark Lazarus tapped home a loose ball after a mix up in the Albion defence. Ten minutes later Rangers' captain Mike Kean lifted the famous three-handed trophy.
Their quality of football looks a class above as well. It's nice watching a side who can find a teammate with consecutive passes. edit: Think i've jinxed them, Michu
I think this would make a good pastime
So the stage is all set for another 3-2 victory like us in 1967. If you want to make the 2nd half more interesting, Bradford are 150/1 to win, 22/1 for a draw. For fun I put a couple of bucks on each option. If Bradford score the next goal, anything could happen. Hope Swansea do a Cardiff bottle job?
Swansea are currently without doubt an excellent footballing team and credit to them... said it since they won promotion however i still still a fragility in them and they may win this cup but i can see them struggle if the confidence bursts.
