Didn't see Adam Pearson and don't think he was there. None of the current squad or management were there. Thought a couple might pop in but maybe not allowed to. Nick Barmby looked relaxed and was enjoying himself on a table with his wife and friends/family, his son was there with a few of the reserve lads. Nick got an enormous cheer when he was announced.

Regardless of the politics/fall-outs between Barmby and the Allams or whoever, it seems disrespectful not to have anyone from the present hierarchy there (if this was the case).

    It's all the same club.

It was the 2008 reunion though, no need for AP or anyone else currently at the club to be there since they werent involved at Wembley.

Maybe if any of the other posters were there they could clarify this but I was not aware of anyone from the current set up and I was surprised about that, as it is supporting the Daisy Appeal I thought the Allam's would have had a representative there. There were a few corporate tables but that is all I think.

This thread seems pointless without the opinion of a Leicester fan.

Yeah, so all those years AP knew Andy Dawson mean nothing?

I would have thought it was the ideal occasion for all parties associated with Hull City in the years of Andy Dawson's time at HCFC to come together, raise money for a good cause, celebrate their common history and have a good time.

Daws usually tries to get a few of the lads down to these events, but I don't suppose Brucey will have been too keen on them going out celebrating last night after the result they got.

There was Dawson, Barmby, Windass, Hughes, Pedersen, Myhill, Brown (W), France, Brown (P), Horton, Duffen, Barry Lowe (former kit man), Simon Maltby and Liam McGarry (former physios). Think that's everyone. It was a pretty lucrative night for the testimonial fund and a good time was had by all I think.

Next event is a Quiz night at Hull Truck on the 20th March and after that it's a games night at Riley's pool club in town on the 10th April. I'm in charge of planning that one so it's bound to go well! :emoticon-0111-blush

Can well understand none of the players from the Bolton game being there but Nick Thompson or Ehab Allam?

Or are the 2008 lot an ancient unrelated group from the dim and distant past?

Probably still spending some of the £80,000 he charged the club for his work as 'club secretary' Whilst claiming he did it for 'nothing'
Sorry to disagree with you but I would say Paul Duffen reign as chairman was a little more successful then Martin Fish was in the same role.

    Perhaps no-one invited them?
Brendan Smurthwaite organised the do by the way. He is now at HKR.

Seems a bit strange as Daws is a current employee of Hull City......

Brendon is part of the testimonial committee along with Andy's wife, some directors of local companies and a couple of OSC reps. It's nothing to do with who he works for but Brendon is on there for his player contacts among other things and there'd be no way last night would have been possible without him.

I meant it was strange that none of the directors of the club AD plays for were there.

I was making a statement not an opinion. Martin Fish goes to every home game at the KC. That was all.

Did anyone go? How was the event? Did the Manor do a good job at hosting the event?

Definiton of success......trying to save the club or unbelievabley bad management to virtually ruin it. There is no comparison. Martin Fish did not own the club and the vast majority of his work was done FOC. Any payment were made by the Needlers. Duffen screwed the club for a fortune. Fish still supports the club and pays his way to contuine to attend. Duffens ****ed off back down south!

Fish couldn't even save us from relegation to the bottom tier. He presided over two relegations. He was an utter disaster, who renewed Dolan's contract even AFTER Dolan had masterminded our second relegation.
