Because he was absolutely ****ing woeful. Weak, poor passing, atrocious set pieces and managed to trip over the ball at one point.
He was poor Kerry but I didn't think he was the worst of them. Still, I never thought I'd see a former Real Madrid player tripping over the ball in front of him. Unbelievable.
He was awful................again! Although, he was limping for the last 10mins of the first half, so that may be the answer, although I wasn't sorry to see the back of him. Mind you, Jenus wasn't a lot better.
I will be surprised if we see him start again this season, He must be pulling up trees on the training ground as he has been a big let down for me this season.
He did put in one good corner that Samba looked certain to head into goal if Rafael had not stopped it on the line.
He wants too much time, he still hasnt adjusted from La Liga, if he thinks its bad now, wait until he gets a load of the NPC, he will change his mind about staying.
You're right. Every move gets slowed down when he receives the ball. Moving the ball quickly is a basic coaching mantra, but Granero takes an age to decide what to do. This often results in all his options being closed down so he either tries an over-ambitious pass or he gets caught in possession. He just looks like a fish out of water and has no fight in him whatsoever. He would look even worse in the NPC.
he's definitely underachieved, doesn't look at all comfortable. But at the same time no one is moving and making themselves available, they all hang on to the ball too long and end up losing it, or passing sideways or backwards. United showed us how to do it without breaking sweat today.
We dont commit enough forward so there usually 3 or 4 guys marking one, we have to get 4 or 5 forward when we get the ball, the wingers should be level with the CF when we are in possession. Taarabt doesnt get forward enough either, MOTD even highlighted it.
You look at united today when they attacked they had the 2 forwards in box followed by 2 other players to our back 4 and M'bia so yes we out numbered they but only by 1 and law of averages says that at some point they will score like with us but not as much. I agree about Adel and think that was his worse game for some time and a bit of slack should be shown due to the fact he has carried us going forward for a while now and he is just hunting the ball to make things happen.
It will be interesting to see who jumps ship and who stays to fight and get us back to the PL if/when we go down.
Granero's replacement Jenas was even worse. It was his awful touch on the edge of their box that led to their second. It was very similar to last season when Buszacky lost the ball on the edge of West Broms area ( exact same place ) which led to their equaliser.
