    ..are ****e.

Haven't we got anyone else who can take one, Brady skies almost all of them?

His crossing has improved massively, his corners are half decent, but his free kicks have been shocking recently.

Cairney's our best free kick taker, but he's rarely on the pitch, can't Elmo have a go?

His free kick right on the edge of the box (from when Meyler was fouled) was one of the worst free kicks I've ever seen.

I was saying when Boyd went through, but the ref pulled it back for a Free Kick - "That's no use to us, Brady will waste it". Haha.

Though, I imagine Brady must score some decent ones in training, given that he gets to take them all the time. I think he probably can hit them - but it makes you wonder after that one just near the by-line on the edge of the area.

We said for the one that went in that they'd need someone in the top tier to retrieve the ball! His corners are either perfect or terrible, plenty of them today just sailed over everyone in the area and past the back post where there's no threat.

Will be interested to see that foul on Meyler on the Football League show. I thought it was inside the box at the time.

    Half a yard outside.

The free kick was that bad it was almost good.

Well it was good in a way because I couldn't stop chuckling for ten minutes.
His reaction said it all. He jogged off apologising to all and sundry and most of our players just ignored him.

Meyler was definitely outside the area and the resulting free kick was as bad as you'll ever see.

He doesn't seem to have a 'middle ground' with his set pieces, They are either too high and long or don't beat the first man.

This, he's got ****ing brilliant technique, when he gets it right he don't half get it right. Problem is he more often than not gets it wrong. I think it's because he's young and when it's a dead ball the pressure gets a chance to really push its weight down on your shoulders. As he develops I'm certain he'll get better and better at them. He won't develop his set plays if he doesn't take them, but then is this the time/season for someone to be learning?

Who else do we have with a left foot?

His freekick against Watford wasn't too bad. But yeah he's pretty inconsistent.

i think its an all too often and hard to understand problem in the professional game, the lack of good crosses is unbelievable..
i was your average sunday league footballer, but one thing i was quite proud of was i could put a decent ball in the box, its one of the parts of the game i found quite easy..
i can never understand watching these highly skilled professionals who are paid so much to play the game who struggle to do it with any sort of consistency, most players maybe put 1 good delivery out of every 5 attempts, it really should be the other way round..

Brady's gonna be in and out with set-pieces till he's had a few seasons under his belt, the fact he takes them shows Bruce feels he is the best option. Not many players are good enough to get nearly every dead-ball right. Beckham v Greece in 2000, everybody remembers him as a hero for his free-kick that got us qualification, I watched that game and he had about 8 efforts before that which were all abysmal. I bet Bradys dead-ball stats compare pretty well to anybody else in the league, that is if there is such a thing as free-kick stats.

As he has barely even got a ball on target for three months, I doubt his stats are all that impressive.

The first line you put is the problem. He hits them with pace and whip so they go flying in and cause a problem but the problem is he hits them miles too far as a result half the time. His corners are really good though, so I don't see why it's only the free kicks that are affected.

I feel the same way about shooting at goal.

Maybe they will try somebody else anyway like this Boyd guy or Elmo. Gedo might be able to hit a good dead ball. Prozzy could be handy but I guess we might not ever find that out.
