Did he not want to play today?

Got to be honest Anderson to me is more a team player, might not look as fancy as Albert in full flight.

Subs today didn't help as neither of them were as good as the ones they replaced.

And I think I prefer Stead alongside Davies two players that will battle for the ball and today apart from some sitters missed by Davies that he would bury any other day. But still battled on with a well taken goal.

Thought it was Kelly who missed a sitter but couldn't tell. As for Adomah is it me or when he gets to 5 goals he cant seem to score anymore. I love andseron quality player who like stead gives it all. Along with Kelly whos getting better every game. MOTM for me today was BCFC, The whole team played brilliant and its a tough one between heaton and stead for MOTM

No Davies missed a sitter in the first half, then a one on one with the keeper but I think scored from the resulting corner. His disallowed goal was a beauty but for some reason that pain in the arse ref ****ed it up.

And what the **** was the ref having a go at Heaton for when he went to the side he always takes goalkicks from, ain't no one told him they can do that now!

The ref was bloody terrible. Stead should of had a penalty in the first half and the amount of times he favoured Barnsley over us was a joke.

The ref wasn't that bad! He let Marv climb all over the back of a Barnsley defender and nod the ball on for Stead to score. He's a pretty good ref because he doesn't keep stopping he game every time anyone falls over. Tried his best to keep the game going so full marks to him from me.

And it was Kelly who missed the best opportunity apart from our goals. He tried to sidefoot it and sliced it. Pretty sure SO'D will tell him to blast it with his instep next time.

Pretty good performance against the "Form" team of the Championship, but we still need to defend a lead better then we did late on. Still a very good result that I for one did not expect.

IMO it was Howard and Kilkenny coming on. The work Kelly does breaking up play infront of the back four goes unnoticed. People kept texting in to RB how our defence is still poor but where did there two late goals come from? Probably where Kelly would have cleaned up from.

Took the above comment from OTIB, have to say I 100% agree, Kelly to me is going to be a good player, playing in a different role to what he played in Scotland (cue pub football quotes) where he played more attacking. I thought he and Marv are forming a good partnership. Kelly tidies up for Marv when he sticks his head in, god only wonders where the ball is going to go but for some reason Kelly seems to be there to clean up.

Some will slag him off but I think we still haven't seen the best of him and IMO could be the unsung hero.

I'll say this rather quietly so as not to upset some of our brethren. Remember Albert's interview last week when he said he and everyone else will know when it's his time to move on.

Well, I agree with ROD in his post that Anderson is a better team player; in my opinion he had an excellent game today along with Stead, Kelly and Heaton.

So I'll whisper my thoughts about Albert and say that while he will be a valuable member of this season's squad, that I don't think he fits SO'D's specification for a member of an SO'D team and he will leave us in the summer for pastures new.

I believe that SO'D prefers workers who are able to keep the shape rather than those like Albert who are improvisors and perhaps a type of loner in a team environment - exciting when they are on song but not too useful when things go wrong.

Please don't take this as a criticism of Albert as I've thoroughly enjoyed watching him play for City and I believe his committment is 100% to BCFC while he is here. But just like the infamous Darius "Jacki" players such as them are perhaps too much of a luxury for clubs in our position.

ROD; those who will slag Kelly, probably wouldn't know a good footballer if they saw one! Kelly did so much mopping up in midfield and still found time to be on the end of City's best chance that we did not score from. He covered others poor passes in midfield so often today that he and Heaton were my Men of the Match.

Think me and you rod were one of the first to praise kelly. He reminds me of gilberto at arsenal, an invisible man who is all over the pitch constantly helping out others. He will be a very good player for us in the future and at 22 times on his side

I was trying to think of someone to compare him with, and that's the sort of player I think he is as well Shiny.

And your right Cidered I thought he was man of the match, my wife said today she feels sorry for Heaton because he don't get much protection. If he was 2 inches taller with he confidence to come for the high ball he could of been a top keeper. Wasn't he once on Man U's books?
