Just saw United's 2nd goal. Bosingwa was an absolute disgrace. His half arsed effort for a 50/50 ball led to the goal. Mbia not without a lot of blame also. In fact as a defensive unit we were shocking.
Was that Bosingwa, Kerry? Myself and my mate just couldn't make out who that was and we were giving out stink at him. If Bosingwa had of charged that one down, the goal would have been diverted. Then its still 1-0 and you're still in the game. These are the tiny little margins that separate winners from losers.
Unforgivable. I was prepared to give Bosingwa the benefit of the doubt but that was inexcusable. Your thoughts Oddball?
I think you are nit picking and yet again a perfect example of vented out frustration at losing ... It wasn't a great game but second half and in a few days time you may think it want that bad a performance I wouldn't blame any player Adel failed to make a impact which was my only dissapointment The next games are the ones and of course we lose the next few games then I will apologise however this was always the toughest of games IMO It's gone and I have some good tele to watch tonight on bbc4
My initial thought from the second row of the lower loft was that it was offside. Can anybody who was closer confirm if it was/wasn't?
I was expecting the flag to go up too, although there's no way I could see if it was offside or not from S block. No one seems to have kicked up a fuss about it, although the predictably pro-united officials would have found a way round it I'm sure.
Na mate he was on. Replay showed that immediately. Are you back home already Fingi or are you on an iphone or summat?
I used to describe my sexual prowess to girls by explaining that what I lacked in technique I made up for in enthusiasm. Mackie is the footie equivalent. I couldn't say which of us scored most.
Me too, Uber. Ended the same way, though.. embarrasment. As for the second goal.. at least 4 made basic errors and we were clinically exposed as a result
There was so much wrong with that 2nd goal, Jenas first touch to set up the counter, M'bia muscled off the ball by Wellbeck, Bosingwa shying away from his tackle, Hill not tracking his man and then just sticking his hand up in the air looking for offside. Team fighting for its life? Not this lot
Well said. We're all lashing out now because we build ourselves up before games with hope that against expectations it might all come right for us and then, we put in a limp performance all over. The reality is that we were always going to do well even to get a point in this game. The trouble is that game after game we never look like turning up or turning the corner 9whichever you prefer) and the 5-6 games on which our season will be decided have now arrived. If it does finally happen in front of 3,500 fans at St Mary's we can all start to believe again. But there can be no more slip ups now. And I don't want to hear any more about our unfit star CB, our 45 minute centre-forward and our French hero falling over on the training ground between now and then.
Against a team now 15 points clear at the top we weren't that bad, there was never any real chance of us winning that game and even a draw was a very long shot and although I understand the boswinga bashing re the not on the bench incident, I find it laughable to suggest that a player who played in the champions league final winning team Last year is not apparently not good enough for the team bottom of the league, get a grip people!!!
Do you know something Drogs, this is the first match when I have come home totally dejected. For 20 odd minutes while it was 0-0 I thought they did great. After the first goal went in, I expected us to throw the kitchen sink at them to get the equaliser and to even go all out for the winner. We surrendered that game today. We had zero fight. Why are we still so negative. We need wins NOW or we are goners. There were 7 Irish R's on my flight over this morning. 5 of the 7 are season ticket holders. What do all of us fans get in return? ZERO EFFORT from a bunch of overpaid prima donnas. I got 3 hours sleep last night to go to that match and the B's couldn't even try. It is soul destroying. I think I am really looking forward to returning to the championship at this stage. Having honest hard working pros earning their wages against a good level of opposition. The games are far more enjoyable, even when we were struggling/mid table. This Premier league is all about money, 95% of which seems to go to the players. The games are rubbish. The big teams get all the decisions. Every time you turn on the radio or tele and they are talking about QPR it is, how much is this player earning, how much is that player earning. They will face financial meltdown if they get relegated/when they get relegated to the Championship. etc. etc. etc. etc. GOODBYE PREMIERSHIP - I WON'T MISS YA. Lets have a good dump (excuse the metaphor) of all our overpaid prima donna players and get some honest hard working pros to replace them who will make all of us proud to go along and support them each week. Hello The Championship.
