Sounded like Boyd was good when he came on, sounded like he might have scored if he wasn't given a hasty free kick when an advantage was on?
1. Quinn. 2. Boyd 3. Brady Boyd did look good ISTPLT, made good runs, linked up well and looked to have a good shot on him. Especially compared to Koren who I thought was pathetic today!
He played allright on Tuesday but he will probably be used mostly as a sub in the run in. I wonder if we will sell him in the summer ?
1. El Mohamady 2. Evans 3. Quinn Certainly not Alex Bruce, James Chester, Jack Hobbs or David Stockdale!! Boyd looked very good but not on the pitch long enough to contend for MOTM.
1) Boyd - looked good when came on, enthusiastic as well 2) Cairney - Not on long enough to mess up 3) Gedo - Can't recall him touching it therefore doesn't earn minus points like the others
See I'd go the other way, I think Quinn and Evans were our worst two today, especially Evans, I reckon if Evans was on his game today the first two and probably the fourth wouldn't have happened.
I thought Evans was really poor today, if he was supposed to be playing defensive midfield, he failed miserably.
Boyd Brady Quinn The first half performance was absolutely abysmal, and whilst the second half performance was much improved, we still failed to fashion out any clear cut chances. Boyd was the only player who came out of the game with any credit.
Thirded. I thought Quinn was ****ing awful, Meyler no better and Brady the same. In fact Brady ,at one point, passed the ball but under hit it that much he had to go for it himself. He passed the ball to himself, never seen that before! Hobbs was alright in parts, Chester was poor and I haven't got all night so will just say I thought Bruce wasn't very good. Stockdale looked like Gulasci at times with his kicking. Elmo was quiet and Gedo did **** all. Koren likewise. Bruce waited too long to ring the changes as well IMO. Well beaten and deservedly so by the better team, by far, on the day. It's gone now and we move on. No need to get hysterical and panic though.
Bruce definitely waited too long to change things, when things are going wrong, he often does. Boyd should have started the second half and when he did, Gedo should have stayed on, he got no service at all in the first half, Koren was really poor.
Boyd Gedo - I put Gedo in because he can't really take any blame, on the few occasions he managed to get the ball he did fine. I'd be tempted to maybe put Brady in, I am normally a big fan of his, and he did do some good stuff near their box on the wing. But for much of the first half, he was pretty poor.
Brady Boyd Hobbs I really felt for Jack Hobbs barely put a foot wrong all day, was let down by those around him. Evans was awful, worst game in the shirt, Bruce was just as bad. Chester was better but not by a great deal his passing was very poor today. Quinn was okay, but not great. I voted Brady MOTM mainly as he got to the line and put crosses in even when he was man marked by two players, and Boyd just looked a class above. He moved well, made some great flicks and took players on. The only positive is i am pretty sure we will never have a performance like that again.
I have managed to wipe much of that game from my memory. But shouldn't he have been the man marking the first goal scorer? I also remember a rather nervous affair with a bouncing ball going towards our goal.
