Games like this can happen to any team any time. If we'd missed 20 chances and lost to a late goal I'd be furious, but this doesn't seem so predictable and avoidable, we just started badly and were punished for it. We deserved nothing and got it. We'll sort it out next week.
Anyone know who was at fault for the early goals? I think there's a fair chance McShane could be back in next week.
Lets face it it wouldn't be City's style to make it an easy run in. Still in a good position to grab the 2nd spot or in my dreams 1st spot.
Oh for heavens sake, first tweet to RH Mike says "can see City sliding down the table now, not even making the play offs" To give him credit the presenter disagreeing with him and practically begging for some more realistic response.
Sounded a bit of a collective, missed tackles outside the box, headless defending and the keeper might have done better on one of them. I didn't go, so will bow to those that did for the full autopsy. It would be harsh to seek out any individual. They must win and lose as a team, as cringeworthy as that sounds. Need to move on and up the performances, which have been patchy since the turn of the year.
A blip, nothing but a blip. We are not going to win all the remaining matches. Win all the home matches, and a couple away and all sorted.
The back three were all over the place for the first ten minutes, uncharactaristally sloppy. That post above is the first thing I've heard from a Bolton fan all afternoon.
Luckily performances like these are the exception rather than the norm. Every team has a stinker or two sometime during the season. We just need to do what we have done before and pick ourselves up and get going again. Automatic is still very much a possibility for us, no point throwing in the towel after one poor result.
From chatting to a few Bolton fans post-game I think they were as stunned as we were with the start. A couple of them said the first half was unquestionably their best performance of the season. In short, it was Bolton on a good day and City on a bad day. I'm sure we'll get over it.
not really we pissed all over you at your place !!! And there is a good chance you will be ****ed next season regardless off what division your in when you can't bend the rules !!!
