Arsenal vs Aston Villa: Match Thread.

Good win considering the squad is low on confidence, hopefully this will give us the impetus to beat the Scum

 

Here is something to consider. Arsenal have won 4 and drawn 1 out of the last 5 premier league games. It is good form.

 

Yeah. Our Cup action let us down but in the Prem I think we have the 2nd best form behind United, who had Judas subbed of early with an injury (I know RvP is a **** but he's playing good footy and its sad to see anyone injured)

 

Just realized we are only 6 points off City. If they draw with Chavski and keep up their stumbling Prem form, we might yet catch them (It would require a terrific winning run from us too)

 

I've been known to poke fun at the divide between Gooners lately. In seriousness though, I prefer the calmer more unified atmosphere when you've won. In a loss or draw the Wenger Outers vs Wenger Iners seem to hold the opposing side responsible judging by the hostility shown towards each other. Everyone loves a win though eh!

 

The one good thing about today's win is a couple of our members won't be posting their usual childish rants until at least tomorrow

 

I do not mind the negative comments but it is very annoying when the same people seem to be waiting for the player they seem to hate to make a mistake so they can say the same things they always say. Shesny, Walcott, Ramsey, Giroud. They seem to be targets for some people and unless they play a perfect game they get hammered

 

Well Szczesny and Giroud were poor today. Ramsey came on and did well. Walcott played quite well too.

 

You will also notice how certain members will be conspicuous by their absence being that we have won today

 

When did we score? Was it the 87th minute or some other minute?

 

We have decided to spend the evening in the West End.We are currently in Spearmint Rhino where we are being entertained by a Romanian hooker called Magda.She's just told me her boyfriend is an Arsenal season ticket holder

And I dont make my decisions on single games when it comes to deciding who I like and dont like, e.g. I still think Szcz is good all round except on low shots where he is rubbish and Giroud is just not good enough for us.

 

Walcott was fairly anonymous for most of the game, but I agree with the rest

What a memory some people have .

Out of every competition by February .

Knocked out just a week ago by the mighty Blackburn Rovers.

But one win against relegation fodder and all is right with the world.

How low some fans expectations have fallen .

We won and 3 points is great . but I will crow about a fantastic win when its against a worthy opponent like Bayern or Manure.. not a last ditch effort after some dreadful wasted chances. and leaking a SHOCKINGLY AWFUL goal against Aston Villa .

Go on , tell us all how great we played today and how it will give us confidence going to Germany .
