He said he didn't want to be 'playing god' by prioritising fans and deciding who was and wasn't 'worthy'.
You are right. I have never had a season ticket, spent 20yrs away and lived in the NE for some years before getting my act together and tipping up to the KC. I sit and share the company of good club lads up here and I never once applied for the big PL games at home; it would have been too lairy. The loyalty move was a travesty. As for Duffen, he is a gobshite, unfortunately he is just one of many in this game.
I didn't even bother applying for any big PL away games so the situation didn't bother me too much other than the fact that genuine city fans missed out to family day outers. Surely they could pick any man u game and sit in either home or away end if they wanted to visit old trafford etc. I would have been pissed off if I missed out due to the loyalty scheme though, I travel from Leicester to every home game, so in a way every home game is an away game, and as such don't do all that many away games. I do all the nearby ones in the midlands and just a handful of the 'big' away games, so if it came down to that away game loyalty scheme I'd have had no chance.
Just when it could not get any worse (off the pitch) for Swindon Town. In saying that isnt Duffer banned from any involement like he used to be by the FA still ? God help them if he not like.
Fo those reasons alone Paul Duffen should get a right good slap if he ever shows his face in Hull again. How anyone can give Duffer any credit at all should be truely ashamed of themselves.
Never had a problem getting away tickets for the PL seasons at all. Being in away direct was the key factor. As for the loyalty scheme i always felt it was a stick tobeat you with as Duffens actions proved in the end. What happens in the future who knows but if you join away direct and cup direct you WILL get tickets. The Premier Club has had many issues since its birth and its time to upgrade again. For those who can i would suggest looking at corporate boxes.
I wouldn't mind two shares in a corporate box, how much would it be for a season? I wouldn't need it for every home game.
Duffen has done an interview with radio humberside being aired tonight at 6pm. Maybe he might be back in football with Hull City. TWT. But the chaps at the snooker club think there's something in this.
It just goes to show that not everything in football is simply black and white. Sometimes it's yellow, green, brown, blue, up to the top cushion and back down for the pink, too.
