Do you really think Loach will go Lenny? From his perspective I'd be somewhat surprised if he took the gamble now, after what I'm sure he would accept was a mixed campaign.

I'm still undecided on Loach. Not as Watford keeper, I'll take him for as long as he's offering, but as a top level keeper. In terms of natural talent he's almost as good as Joe Hart, but unless he can cut the errors out I doubt he'll ever be a first team regular in the Premier League.

I do have a bit of sympathy for him though. He has been told to get off of his line more, has done so, and has been exposed as a result.

I don't think he will ask to move - but the club might decide to cash in - it is only him and DG that could command any real money - I hope he stays.

I actually think we should persevere with Scott he could have gone last year or even the year before! Lets show him that loyalty works 2 ways!
Yes he had a dodgy last season ,but before then Man city and spurs were sniffing , He is still an England u21 international ! he will come good again!

I may be wrong but I think QPR only added a couple of players in the summer to turn themselves into Champions & I don't think we need much more than that to really challenge next season.

Obviously subject to not loosing the spine of the team.

Loach has said he's not going. I don't think he'll go...to be honest, he's not had the kind of season that will get us offers, and i'd be very happy if he stayed.

It did seem that the whole team was extremely close knit! I think that maybe enough to keep a few who otherwise might consider going elsewhere!

    I predict:

    1. We will play 46 League games next season
    2. Some of these will be on Saturday afternoons
    3. Each game will consist of two halves

See how predictable it's all going to be

Hmm. The only time I have felt confident in predicting how we would do was during the second and third seasons in Div 2 when Ken Furphy was in charge and I didn't predict we would do so badly in the relegation season. I certainly didn't predict what GT achieved.

For next season I think we will concede fewer goals and score fewer too. What will define the season is whether the reduction in goals conceded is greater or less than the reduction in goals scored. This, I'm afraid to say, will depend on the loan players, and who they will be is anyone's guess. I wonder if the state of the pitch will have an impact on that. Will top clubs risk their rising stars on a ploughed field?

One thing that I can confidently predict is that Watford Football Club will provide me with joy and despair in the years to come and I wouldn't have it any other way.

In terms of predictions consider the Championship table from our promotion year in 1999.
Two clubs are now non-league, with one other having dropped out of the league and been promoted back.
Four will be in League 2 next season.
Three or four will be in League 1
Five or six will be in the Premier League
At least six are in the Championship
At least three have gone into administration and been deducted points.

So having said all that we will finish 11th with 63 points and an average crowd of 13872. We will get to round 3 of the League cup and round 5 of the FA cup. We will get to the semi finals of the Youth cup. Malky will eat eggs for breakfast on Tuesday 29th November. A tea urn will need replacing in January but won't be replaced until March. We will have one game postponed, probably away to Huddersfield. We will win a game by three goals on a Kids for a Pound day. LLoyd will not score but he will hit the woodwork in a game we lose 3-1.

Can I just clarify something. Warnock at QPR added 10 players - all 1st team regulars at this level. Fees paid for the likes of Taraabt, Hulse and Smith and expensive Free Transfers like Derry and Kenny. Ok Danny ****tu might have been cheap, but he was the 10th recruit. All of those players were signed from the Champ or Prem, no youngsters from lower level.

Defying the odds - it is great to see us defy the odds, we finished 14th last season from a ranking of 23rd. Contrast that with West Ham 6th highest spenders, yet finished 20th!!! Watford have defied those odds in both the last 2 seasons, if we do well again next season that would be a awesome treble - but if you were a betting man how long would you continue to bet against the odds.

Malky is a miracle worker, and he doesn't shout about it. We all love him to bits, but how long will he stay?

One thing comes to mind - will Cardiff's debt start to come home to roost.

Me thinks Cardiff will not be anywhere near the top 6 next season.
