Buzzing for George Boyd on his move to Hull! Great player joining a great club. A player that can push the club to the next level. Wish him all the best! #hcafc

Considering he knows he's taking his place he is very humblecould we not not just keep McLean as a coach, motivational one not striking of course

Watching the various videos of Georgie Boy on here it was notable how much better Aaron looked when playing alongside him. Wouldn't be surprised if we don't bring him back...and maybe sign CMS from Brighton as our missing striker. Those three were magic together.

Boyd has the ability to transform us an attacking force...just give him the right supporting cast. Gedo is a great start and the two will be brilliant together. Likewise Aluko if he returns to fitness.

Hull City are a top-notch club, caring, progressive, ambitious and professional.

There, I have spoken well, can you give me a job now, kit man will do! I could chew the cud with Ash, Barmby, windass, Dawson, etc. etc. etc. who all should be given jobs because . . . .

    whoops, no dosh for players!

The vast majority of players would be bitter and twisted about being shipped out as many are and Aaron has been.

Measure of the lad, he'll always be fondly remembered.

(Just wished he'd scored a few more goals though! :emoticon-0136-giggl

I would have McLean back in a shot especially with Aluko done for the season now. We still only have 3 out and out strikers. Yes Mcleans goals are few and far between but when he does score they are normally winners.

Steve Bruce has said that he will look at Mcleans game time @ Ipswich and has not ruled out a recalling him at some point. Boyd / McLean ? you just never know. TWT.

Share the comments on AM. Quality chap and great for the dressing room.

has mclean been starting for ipswich? i think if he comes back, his salary will be an issue. doesnt provide the kind of bang for our buck that others do and was a signing forced onto nigel pearson. seems a great player to have around but in panicing to buy as we did, we were forced into paying more than his worth. shame really. seems like a genuine bloke

Apologies Billy, thought you were one of the many who want to populate the wage bill with hero passengers. Knickers untwisted! :emoticon-0150-hands

Of course SB will say he will leave his options for recall open, he has to. Aaron is out on loan because he is another striker who has had all of the opportunity in the world to come good and he failed miserably - even though he's a lovely fella!

I love the fact that for some strange reason you point out that when he scores they are normally winners; how about the ones he doesn't score, as they are usually losers! Great for the dressing room? I can't see that as he was taking up the peg of a goal scorer - unless, of course, he is good with a mop! We need focussed winners not amiable ambassadors.

Unfortunately, as much as I think McLean's a decent bloke, I fully agree with this. He's a fantastic fella, especially when you compare him to the likes of the ****er that is Dudley Campbell, but we just can't afford passengers, each player has to be capable of doing the job that their respective position demands, and Aaron's would obviously be scoring goals!

McLean is a top guy. Even when talking to the fans, he talks to us as though we've been mates with him since Primary School!

As Strov said, the only negative is the fact he scored so few. If he was a prolific goalscorer for us, he'd go down as a Club legend.

How have we even won these 3 games without the fun loving buffoonery of Aaron. Just can't understand it.

FFS who cares, cost us a lot, didn't deliver. Goodbye.

I agree he comes across as a great guy and his goal scoring wasn't good enough, but if he got the game time Simpson has this season i wonder how the goals scored would compare
