Looking back over the season, what have been the highlights of it for you?

The game of the season? The goal of the season? Any special memories you have of it?

Game of the season for me is the 6-0 over Villa...because that was TOTALLY unexpected. Goal of the season is Tiote's against Arsenal. I was lucky enough to be at that game....and I managed to lose my voice after screaming from that.

There isnt any 'special' memories....but I can say that this team has been the most 'special' since I became a Newcastle supporter. Surely, they have to go down in the history somewhere...as the underdogs maybe?

Tiote's against Arsenal and Taylor's against Chelsea get my vote for importance as much as anything else. How often do you come back against teams like Arsenal and Chelsea to save a point?

Very true AB. The arsenal draw was fantastic...because of the half time score. And the Chelsea draw, also was great...considering our team was made up of kids, and we were playing a full strength Chelski team. We've certainly proved this season that our academy can produce some seriously good talent.

The prospect of Shane Ferguson is something im very much excited for next season.

Colo's equaliser against Wigan was a massive massive goal for us. It showed you exactly what we were lacking the season we went down when it was Wigan who scored a last minute equaliser in the same fixture.
In all, whatever happens on Sunday, this season has been a massive success. The Carroll saga being the major minus point.
One of my biggest concerns going into the season was scoring goals. When you look at how many we have scored at home this season, it just staggers me. Could not of realistically asked for more on our first season back up.

I loved the whole ben arfa saga, how he wanted to come to us so badly for some reason, then his phenomenal strike against Everton, needless to say the minus was De Jongs tackle... Think where we could be if we had him fit! I know there are many other factors that could've effected it, but I think he'll be a great player next season ! :)

If he's 100% fit we've got a treat in store for us next season.

Got to be beating Sunderland 5-1 and Shola's second was brilliant.

mouthwatering is the way i'd describe it ! could be one of the best midfields in the league! Krancjar, Tiote, Nolan, Ireland, Barton, Ben Arfa. 4 from the 6 :)

Really can't pinpoint a specific game to be honest. The obvious contenders are 4-4, 5-1, 6-0. So hard to pick. It's been a brilliant season!

Beating Villa 6-0 in the first game of the season wasn't expected and we all streamed out of SJP on a high.

Beating the mackems 5-1 and seeing all their supporters streaming out of the ground at 3-0 wasn't only a great win but a great laugh too. Coming back from 0-4 against the gunners was just like a win and we were really on a high when Tiote's went in. The draw at Chelsea was a great feeling too, not many would have fancied us to come back and get a draw against them. (Even though my prediction was for a 2-1 win for us.)

The low points have to be the away games at Bolton (in particular) and Stoke.

An up and down season but at the start of it I said I'd be happy to finish 13/14th, so we've exceeded my hopes. Not bad at all considerng we lost key players due to injury.

Here's hoping to a great end to it on Sunday and a carnival atmosphere to carry us over to next season.

    HTL.

One of the more comic moments of the season for me was when we were coming out of the SOS after the 2nd derby and as the buses were leaving, droves of their fans were holding their fingers up celebrating "1-1" I mean a last minute equaliser is always nice but to go on like they had beaten us and then holding up the old "1-1" sign.......I was bemused and had to laugh......but then again everyone was laughing.....at them.

Much like the greeting we got when the coaches were pulling into the parking area. What a sad lot they are!

Sad lot indeed. Proved by the totally predictable pitch invasion which happens every season they score against us at their ground, yet always goes unpunished by the fa.

I think the young prick that went around the goal and made contact with Harps got an earful off his old man who went public and appologised for his sons behaviour. Got to give credit where it's due.

Of course it shouldn't have been allowed to happen and wouldn't have at any other ground. Poor stewarding apart from anything else.

I remember a few seasons back one of their ground staff was being tortured by the away end while we were being held back after the final whistle. He threw his corner flags to the deck and had to be restrained from getting at the whole travelling support hahaha. I was in stitches.

Typical mackem! Truth to tell though, a youngster that sits beside me at the game gets his ST money working as a steward at the SOS.

That's it for me for tonight guys, going to hit the sack. Hope those of you that are on for a while longer have a good one.

    Night all.

When John Carew skied that penalty you just knew it was going to be a good day
