anyway, back to the match thread! Thanks Mex So, i can't work out whether i think this will be a tough game or not. After all, they smashed us at their place but we're a different kettle of fish now, and they have a fair few injuries. So, i'm going with a 3-1 though i think, if Vydra and Deeney start..and Geijo comes on, it could be more of a pasting. Excited at the moment..though with each match i get more and more nervous these days!
NERVOUS- I know what you mean. Everytime I start getting ahead of myself(Cardiff, Hull games etc), I start having to say 'one game at a time'. IF we keep winning it takes care of its self. Win half of the remaining games and we are in the playoffs, win 10 and ... you know! The playoffs are fun with an uncertain outcome, and automatic, I like the certainty of that, and we haven't done it for a while. I'm just going to enjoy the ride. WFC63 COYH
Light snow falling over this part of Hertfordshire at the moment, and bitterly cold. How will these conditions affect the game? I have not noticed that we play worse in cold/icy conditions, though you might expect "flair" players to be a bit more affected than bruisers. (I think Watford have more "flair" players than Derby).
I was working in the old Czech when the iron curtain was still up and we arrived in the town of Pils late one night. In the hotel they only had Pork on the menu and they claimed they had no beer!! - so the town that gave the world the name of a beer, and they had none. Well in those days, they did really...just cost a few DM's to discover a lost stash in the cellar. Those were the days when a few DM's or $'s could get you a long way...and German was the business language in Europe.
Morning all, Light snow falling in Bucks and cold, so might well have trouble getting through the barrier with the amount of clothing I am planning to wear. I am sure that standing on the old Vicarage terrace used to be warmer unless you were on the fringes. Shared body heat and all that.
Today's team: Almunia (c); Doyley, Nosworthy, Ekstrand; Cassetti, Abdi, Battocchio, Chalobah, Anya; Geijo, Vydra. subs: Bond (GK), Yeates, Hogg, Deeney, Forsyth, Murray, Forestieri Interesting front pairing
Do have it Al, but I'm normally 2-3 minutes behind reality for some reason - quicker to follow it on SSN. Will try though - I think the match has already started, but I'm still listening to Derek Payne waffle.
