Redknapp: "We have a pretty fit squad. Remmy has trained the last couple of days and looks OK."

HR: "We will have to see how he is and whether he can play. He trained yesterday. It is difficult with groins. We don't want to risk him."

HR: "We went away for 4 or 5 days. It was good and we worked hard. It did us good. We shared the training facilities with other PL sides."

HR: "We had a bad day [at Swansea]. It was one of those days and we have to move on."

HR: "Rooney is a top player. But they are full of top players that is why they are so far clear."

HR: "They don't take their eye off the ball too often. They are looking to win the league and they will worry about Real Madrid 10 days after us."

HR: "They have kept winning and other teams have had bad runs. They have been the only team playing with consistency so it has left them in a great position."

HR: "I'd be very surprised if they don't win the league from where they are."

HR: "We need to close the gap. We need 20 points at least. Whether that would be enough I don't know but we have to try for that."

HR: "Of course I feel we can do it. If I stop believing everyone does. I still think it is possible with 12 games to go and lost of points to play for."

HR: "Six points can turn everything around so quickly."

HR: "Bobby might need an operation at the end of the year but the aim is to keep him going for the next 12 games."

HR: "We are hoping we can get more than half a game from him but we will see how we go."

    Let's do it lads :emoticon-0178-rock:

Good Pirate, I figured you were more into the football matters on this board. These long breaks can be a real pain and so it has proved once again. Good to have ya back, let the good times roll! You R's!

Agreed, El Pirata ................ I'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to OT stuff, lately.
Hope for FS that we can snag a win, if not, a draw. It will do us good, players, fans alike.

Would it be possible to highlight the thread title when it actually IS on topic?

Now there's an idea! Personally, I think that there's a case for always making these press conference summaries into stickies.

I thought Bobby was limping a bit at the end of the Swansea game, so can't see us getting more than a half out of him. It's whether it's first or second half.

    Quick question R's...

Do you reckon Harry needs to keep his pen in his pocket and concentrate on QPR's survival only, or are you lot completely happy for him to have a column in a national newspaper? He wrote an article about John Terry last week and how he's still a great footballer, lots of teams would still want him etc. I actually liked the article, he gave insight into the life of a modern footballer, stating that players barely speak to each other off the pitch or on it any more nowadays.

If Fergie was writing a column and commenting on John Terry whilst we were neck and neck with City for the league title I'd question his priorities. I'd assume Harry doesn't write it, more he just sits with a Dictaphone and rambles on for a bit then some columnist makes it into a story.

Would you prefer him to put this to one side until you know your fate?

No problem with HR doing a column as as you say it's a good snapshot what the real life is about being a manager or footballer. I certainly as a QPR fan do not dislike John Terry. I love football and QPR in that order and hope the two merge again some time soon. The game has simply changed so much without us even knowing it so an insight to a honest man seems fine. He is Harry Redknapp who just happens to be QPR manager at the moment. I would love it if we ever signed Terry or Lampard because they are very good players plus any QPR fan who is worth anything to teh badge should know we have had a load of players from Chelsea in the past. Chelsea and Man City as clubs, players etc because of money jealously we are fast following them as we on paper we have even more money than them ... it seems however our idea of buying a foundation maybe wrong. The people behind our club want to turn QPR into a big west London club ... the very reason why we can attract a big name manager whether he writes or not he is a big name and we have to know accept this as part of our journey regardless if we are successful or not. We will lose friends whatever happens because of money and the project ... What people miss here is that all the exposure we have had in this league and our location has made us a sellable project for a list of wealthy people to buy into ... As a brand i don't care what people think I know QPR will become a major name in top British football ... how ever long that takes and where ever the money comes from. It's the prefect business project to grow and will always attract money. Our days of the darlings of skilled football are fast coming to the end. in time QPR will grow to a point that of course many can't see at the moment whether we all like it or not having HR writing about anything just reinforces where this club is going ... before you get a chance maybe the championship in the short herm but the hoops destiny is very clear to see where our journey lies. I laugh when posters have come on here in the past and said we will lose our money etc ... Our current backers make more in a month than most premiership clubs make in a year ... QPR is a beautiful project and the Harolds Terrys and Franks of tomorrow will be queuing up in the future

I think that you pretty much hit the nail on the head when you said that he doesn’t write it anyway. According to the evidence he gave last year in his trial against the Inland Revenue, the guy is practically illiterate anyway.

My guess is that it’s probably just a case of him chatting to some ghost writer journo for about 10 minutes every week. The journo then proceeds to pad it out and relate it to whatever vaguely footy-themed rubbish the tabloids think worthy of their commenting on that particular week. I very much doubt that it takes up any significant amount of his time or attention to be honest.

    Exactly.

Was an unbelievably daft question to ask anyway. I think I've spent more time on the bog today then Arry did giving that interview. With the time we've had before games its really not going to make the slightest bit of difference
