    Reina 7
Jonno 6 ( rare off night for him)
    Enrique 8.5
    Agger 7.5
    Carra 7 ( excellent apart from 1 slip )
    Stevie 7
    Allen 7
    Lucas 9
Hendo 7.5 ( shouldnt have been subbed imo, fittest player we have )
    Downing 7.5
Suarez 9 ( despite most of his tricks not coming off )

Shelvey 4 ( shouldnt have come on, seriously out of form )
Assaidi 7 ( looked bright needs more chances )
Sterling no chance no show his stuff

I agree with most of these.

    I'd give Gerrard 8, Assaidi 5 and Shelvey 5.

    Jeesus guys.

Take out Suarez scoring 2 free kicksd, which is not the norm btw and it would have been another huff and puff WBA game FFS<doh>

Fact remains, as bad technically as we were we still shout have got past those useless fks, Zenith were naff over the two games, really poor and we still failed to take advantage. Not only that, one goal from 180 minutes of football against a team that wasn't really defending well, we over ran their midfield and had plenty of possession wide to get stuff in or get behind them.

ATM I'd rather Joe Allen with one leg than Shelvey on the pitch.

HULK, tall strong but way way over hyped and over rated. Suarez was 3 times the player Hulk was and Suarez was definitely not playing at his best.

Reina, does anyone else not think his attempt to prevent Hulk scoring was pathetic?

I thought in open play Zenits defending was awesome, we would have knocked 5 or 6 v most other teams last night

Have to say, love the Assaidi is a one trick pony but at least he still after all that time has the confidence to try and run at someone. Anyone want to tell me what Sterling is then? Pace right now and he has lost that confidence. I would really like to see Assaidi given a few games as he will have the freshest legs and a point to prove.

EDIT: I know how young sterling is but think it is funny that the exact things that many are hating assaidi on are the same things they praise Sterling for.

I agree. It was refreshing to see him play last night and he always looked positive. His close control is pretty good for someone who hasn't played competitive football for quite a while.

Unfortunately, Rodgers doesn't like him and it's looking most likely that he will be gone in the summer (as per James Pearce in the Echo).

Weird really. He's never been given a proper chance.

If we had lost a game via 2 free kicks then you'd be lamenting the fact that Rodgers hadn't bought a player that can score free kicks.

Gerrard seems to be quite a bit less useful at set pieces these days. I'm quite glad Luis got a couple goals from them.

Hopefully a sign he is improving in that department and Stevie can retire from kick taking.
