So the search for a new Chief Exectutive/Chairman has been delayed as Mr Brent and the board are putting all their efforts into ensuring our League survival. He does not want to hand over control until the club is in a better position,OK fair enough............ but hang on a minute is this not the position that he said he needed to fill due to his lack of football experience. I would have thought that due to our current position someone in charge who actually knows his Arsenal for his arseh*!e should be the priority. You don't try and fix your car before taking it to the mechanic!!!!
I believe I have spotted a subtle tell when Mr Brent is being sparing with truth or just talking bull...... his mouth moves.

My interpretation of that is "it would be impossible to recruit anyone any good while it's likely we'll drop out of the League and anyway, even if we did, it would cost an arm & a leg to make him redundant when we do go down".

Or......Bollox to your team. I've spent all I'm spending so put up with it.

Mexijan you are getting a tad cynical in your dotage.

I would hope any Chief Exec worth his salt would relish the challenge NDG but yep pretty much as I read it too, along with as Sensible said I have absolutley no interest in this poxy club other than development potential and will run it with a bare minimum of investment so as to maximise my profit. Previously I think we had a well meaning idiot in charge now we have a very very smart cookie but unfortunately he has bugger all squared concern for the club.

Thought I would give the cynicism a try Sensible, I had been trying to perfect apathy but just cannot be bothered anymore.

Nothing wrong with a bit of cynicism mexijan. Being all believing got us into enough trouble with the last lot. Apathy comes easy to Janners. So layed back about stuff as to become horizontal.

So when is saving the club from the Conference going to start then........isn't that what James Brent is saying is the most important thing at present.

OK so our league position is precarious at the moment and that means we'll not attract the right man as Chief Executive.

What comes first then........the cart or the horse........it's already been said that Brent hasn't the football knowledge.....so isn't a Chief Exec an important position that we need to be filled....and soon.

What is obvious is that Brent needs to do something soon to help Sheridan to find a serious goalscorer to give us an even chance of staying in this basement league.

What we all feared when Brent took over.. As mex states no interest in the football side.. is that why he employed fletcher who got us in this mess.. also Brent is to blame for not dealing with this earlier in the season when everyone was calling out for change.. i fear its to late Mr Brent.. you idiot

I defended him more than others Joe and gave him the benefit of the doubt but after the last transfer window all doubt for me has been removed. There are good players out there available for loan, or as free agents but we will not pay the wages to attract these players it seems. I am not talking 3 or 4 year contracts a 6k a week but if we have to operate at a loss until the end of the seaason then so be it. I think Brent is banking on 5-6k crowds even in the conference and with a reduced wages bill a self sufficient club that costs him nothing until he has got all the deals he wants done. Not sure if that makes me a cynic or realist but one thing for certain I do not trust a thing the king of spin says anymore.

No use worrying about that at moment, Brent needs to ensure the team gives their 100% or else we're done I'm afraid!

Sheridan is the only one who can do that........Brent's job is to support Sheridan and his needs....we still need a GOALSCORER.

Plus some form of mid-field controller.....still very lacking in this department.

If we sign anyone else now I will be totally gobsmacked. We are not going to cunjour a 15 goal machine between now and the end of season. It's this lot that have to click and it's no good looking elsewhere.
