"It's a wonder I'm here at all, you know. My pussy got soakin' wet. I had to dry it out in front of the fire before I left." "Having a bath at 6 o'clock in the morning played havoc with my pussy." "Well, the central heating broke down. I had to light the oven and hold my pussy in front." "I hope this isn't going to take long, Captain Peacock. The last time I was late, a fireman had to climb out of my bedroom window and risk his life on a narrow ledge tryin' to grab hold of my pussy." etc, etc
I secretly love this song. It reminds me of our European adventure in 1976/77. Although I used to go to matches on a Saturday afternoon. My parents wouldn't allow me to go to the mid-week ones. I was only ten at the time, and more often than not had school the next morning. They used to play this song either before the game or at half-time as it was a huge hit during our UEFA Cup campaign. Living so close to LR ( - 200 yds ) I used to hear this song played over the tannoy from the courtyard where I used to play. I used to play football until the late evening in that courtyard under the haze of those Loftus Rd floodlights and hear the music blaring out from the ground. When I was called in and put to bed, I would sit in my pyjamas on the window sill with the window open and listen to the crowd. That was how I gauged our progress during a match back in those days. Btw.. Surprisingly, Pussycat the group who recorded this song were Dutch. I always thought they were American.
good stuff nines because I liked it as well, replaced at number1 in the charts by Chicago, those were the days mate
Really? I'm surprised at this, I thought Chicago were strictly eighties? Im all of of a flumoxxed and will have to research this for verification. In the meantime have some rep.
Bloody heck! Your right Andy. If you leave me now, by Chicago replaced Pussycat at No.1 in late '76. I'm quite franckly flabbergasted. I didn't think you were old enough to know all this anyway. I had you down as younger. Btw, couldn't give you no rep as I have to spread it around a bit.
