You're right, although he's not World Class. Making the difference in dragging his team back into an important game is the kind of thing World Class players do though, it's just that Suarez, like Bale, doesn't do it enough. And that should be just one facet to a World Class player's game too.
Unlucky, Scousers. Gave it a really good go, despite going behind early and nearly pulled it back. Definitely got a lot of pride back from that.
Unfortunately, they won't... Oh, wait! They lost! It was a spirited come-back. But they did have the home advantage, after all, and they knew exactly what they were chasing. In the end, though, Zenit managed to contain 'Pool for a well-deserved win. It was only for a couple of set-piece strikes that the Mousers were even in with a shout. In truth, Zenit should have made this far easier than they did.
Good on you, Zingy, for taking the banter in good spirit. In truth, and all joking aside, I though 'Pool did very well today, but I think there is a clear lack of quality in your side, and that's what hurt you, over the two legs. In the days of Stevie Highway, 'Pool had a team of Goofys, and were not merely a collection of 10 ordinary players relying on the magic of one class player. By the way, I used to admire Stevie Highway, in that team of the early 70s.
