Without meaning to be rude there is a swear filter that you could use if it offends you. And Fran that's my point he doesn't need to be this odious little man he's good without the kicks and racism.
I've hardly blown it out of proportion i've suggested he should get a ban for intentionally trying to harm a fellow professional! If anything the fact it's Suarez only helps my case due to his previous offences.
Are there any German teams left in the competition? I thought Tottenham looked very measured and composed against a very ordinary Lyon. Maybe Liverpool lack that final bit of craft to get them to that next level where they can start competing for trophies again. From a nostalgic perspective I'd like Benefica to win the competition, as I would imagine a lot of people around my age group, who may remember when Benefica were the "bees knees" of European football in the early sixties.
I'll leave you to make that judgement Saints Fan. For what it is worth it was a step on rather than a vicious stamp as the Russian made a bit of a meal of it. That is just my view but I agree he was totally out of order and took away everything that was good about him tonight.
Stuttgart are still in, but the main reason that there aren't more is that Bayern, Dortmund and Schalke all got through to the last 16 of the Champions League. Hannover and Borussia M. both knocked out tonight.
Whether he meant it or not is up to the viewer to decide but I don't think there was enough evidence for a retrospective ban. PS The swear filter is broke...don't blame us.
Tbh, I think it's almost the opposite. He glides past him with his studs, there isn't much pressure. Yes it's stupid and yes he should be punished, but it's nowhere near as much of a stomp as you're making it out to be.
I think there are a lot of good teams developing around Europe, who do you think are the best ten? You would have to include Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern and Man U, I think but the other five are very debateable.
Dortmund aren't half bad either, and I'd back them to progress against Shakhtar Donetsk. German football's on the up, as English football wanes.
I would definitely agree with Ajax and possibly Dortmund and possibly Shaktar or Zenit. Lyon were too negative tonight but they are good too!
