Well, that means that Southampton vs Liverpool will remain on Saturday the 16th of March - 3pm kick-off.
If Liverpool, and in particular Suarez, had taken his chances in the 1st leg they would have cruised through.
Did what they had to do, not much luck involved from what I could see. Good effort by Liverpool but Carra's cock-up gave them too much to do.
Suarez stamped on a player tonight intentionally he should be banned. It's all very well being fantastic at football but he's such a ****. I really hope UEFA or whoever it is up to brings that back up and ban him. ITV glossed over it entirely with their ridiculously biased coverage.
Yeah it wasn't really a stamp was it? Still, it's the kind of thing he does all the time and he gets away with it far too often.
How are you defending it?! He had ample time to move his foot onto the pitch but he made the decision to plant it in the small of the players back. You can see him put all of his weight on that foot as well!
He deliberately puts all his weight onto the foot that is on the players back. Regardless of whether it was a stamp or not it would hurt as much as a stamp. EDIT: He even gets about a foot higher in the air thanks to the power of the step/stamp.
Do we really have to use the "c" word here? I would not use that word to describe any sportsperson even if I loathe the person. I would reserve it to describe Peter Storrie and all the awful owners of PFC, and politicians particularly nasty ones like Gadaffi, Bush and Berlusconi. And the ex Tory leader of Southampton City Council.
It is a shame that such a good player has this nasty side to him...not as if it would even achieve anything.
