Yeah, for us if Wood doesn't score then you can bet Nugent will and if he doesn't you can rely on Knockaert. 40+ goals between them this season.
.. unfortunately as we saw against the Udders in midweek - I wouldn't be 'betting' on Nuge ... his conversion rate is average at best ... we need a Tony Cottee type on loan ...
In fairness can't remember Nuge having too many chance in that match either. That's surely down to the midfield suppliers...
Not saying Nuge shouldn't be playing - he is having arguably his best season - but we need an additional goal threat - particularly if Wood is out ...
I agree but I wouldn't use the Huddersfield match as an example. We totally changed the midfield from the previous game (Knocky aside) and had a useless holding striker in Futacs playing. The midfield is the life blood of any team and ours that day looked what they were - a bunch of players that haven't worked together very often, two or three of whom were nor really in match shape. Now the Peterborough match on the other hand...
Nugent probably had his worse game in a Leicester shirt against Huddersfield. But i cant remember him having 1 chance all game. He has got 14 goals this season which is very good for a striker who using FF's words who isnt a natural goalscorer

Did you not read my post? I said I never had any opinion on Gedo and I still don't. I've seen him play 45 minutes of football and it was like you were playing with 10 men (well, 9, you did have Prossie playing too). I said to you that he was a nobody from a nothing league and he'd done nothing to suggest he would be a hit. Thats fact and it still stands as fact.
Knocky was a nobody when we signed him. So not really an insult Rosie. Far to early to be crowing about Gedo though. The signs are good but lots of players start well and then drop off. Best to contain your excitement or risk making a tit of yourself like OLM and Charlie did over Prozzie.
A more accurate fact, is that he's scored three goals in his first four games and he hasn't played league football for a year, **** knows what he'll do when he's match fit. The suggestion on here was that we'd signed someone that nobody had heard of from a **** league, that may have been true, but having now seen him four times, I can confirm he definitely isn't ****. In fact, he's ****ing great.
